This Arthur Ashe Stadium is the largest Tennis Stadium in the World with a capacity of 23,771. This would be the first time AEW would have ever went to the state of New York, although they nearly did in 2020 in Rochester, however the Covid-19 pandemic changed those plans. AEW before this event are getting back on the road in other areas, including historically important Wrestling markets such as…
Photo credit – BodySlam.net I love old school wrestling. Despite being born in the 90’s, old school wrestling is my favorite style of all time. One of my favorite features of old school, 80’s NWA-type wrestling is the lost art of the squash match. Big star showcases their move set against a local talent. It’s a lost art in today’s era of 50/50 high spot-focused work. When AEW Dark began to transition to squash match focused, I was delighted. Finally, a mainstream company was making a concerted effort to revive this terrific feature of old. But then, the hard truth…
Photo Credit – AEW Games AEW has made significant strides in the wrestling industry, establishing itself as the country’s second-largest organization and gaining a national broadcast agreement. Nevertheless, due to a large investment in the video games area, the corporation is still in the red. In his feature story on AEW, Forbes’ Hank Tucker says that the promotion got $43.75 million from TNT in 2020, but that it is still in the negative for the time being since they have invested eight figures in the video gaming sector. With Elite GM, another mobile game, and a huge console game on…
Photo Credit – WWE Congratulations goes out to Renee Paquette and Jon Moxley on the birth of their first child. The former Renee Young parted ways with WWE in August of last year and became pregnant shortly there after. The world was first informed of her pregnancy when Moxley mentioned it in a promo on AEW Dynamite in November. In fact the only person to know before hand was Bayley, though not on purpose. As Renee accidentally texted her the news instead of her husband, which the two have joked about on social media. https://twitter.com/reneepaquette/status/1329255968249573378?s=21 In December Renee revealed that…

Strowman was released by WWE last month, reportedly due to him being on such a highly paid contract. You can read more about that here. Last week it was reported that Braun Strowman’s agent was quoting independent promoters the price of $25,000 per three hour, if they wanted to book the former Universal Champion. You can read more about that here. Mark Henry spoke with TMZ Sports earlier this week…
Photo Credit- AEW All Elite Wrestling as a company is still quite young since its inception in 2019 yet it has demonstrated that is here to stay. From classics such as Cody vs. Dustin Rhodes to their vast tag-team division that continues to expand each day, there is no denial how much the talent cares and wants to give the best product possible to its audience. The one thing that AEW has struggled with is their women’s division when it comes to their booking and management, but that doesn’t make it a failure and within this article I will explain…
With AEW and WWE getting back on the road imminently, both promotions will be hoping that fans are ready to return to arenas. Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer radio, has analysed the recent ticket sales for both promotions, finding out WWE are behind AEW for selling tickets per show. Meltzer said during the Wrestling Observer radio… “There’s a lot of events under 2,000 tickets sold, a lot of shows. When it comes to the head to heads with AEW. They’re both running the Dallas market, WWE is ahead of them on that one, but they’re also in the American…
Photo Credit:WWE, NWA/WCW On a mainstream platform, long gone are the days where fans have a consistent emotional connection with wrestling. Why? Because REAL WRESTLING fans can’t find anything to take seriously. Real fans sit down and watch wrestling; they don’t scroll their Instagram watching highlights of “sports entertainment” comedy sketches, terrible C movie like “cinematic” wrestling matches and acrobatic antics portrayed by no selling, talentless, high spot hungry marks. In today’s edition of “The Shoot!” I’m covering how bad writing/booking, social media, and high spot wrestling has ruined realism in wrestling. Thinking back into my early days as a…
Photo Credit – AEW Just two weeks shy of Double Or Nothing, on tonight’s show the fallout from it continued. After the highly disappointing TV rating the company faced last week, AEW had fo be hoping that tonight’s show would bring viewers back. Did it deliver? Let’s find out! AVERAGE: Matt Hardy opened the show while standing with TH2 in the middle of the ring. Hardy promised to ensure that after tonight’s match, Christin Cage would lose a lot of money. This promo was far too over the top, as you can’t tell me for a minute Hardy actually believed…
