Sami Zayn is genuinely baffled that Jim Cornette praised his work with The Bloodline on Friday Night SmackDown.

Sami Zayn has been working hard for the past 8-years since joining WWE, but his hard work has been paying off. He has been a highlight of WWE programming for years now, and his best work has been his most recent.

Ever since joining The Bloodline, Sami has made the group more popular than ever. His comedic timing has added some much-needed levity, but it hasn’t gotten in the way of the developing storyline.

As things stand, he has become a major point of contention for Roman Reigns and Jey Uso. Jey can’t stand Sami Zayn and think’s he’s trying to conspire against the group from the inside.

On the other hand, Roman has given Sami his full trust and sees his cousin Jey as the problem. He is quickly making himself into an enemy, but one man who used to hate him now loves him.

Jim Cornette Feeling Ucey?

Jim Cornette, who has in the past been heavily critical of Sami, now sees Sami as a highlight. The controversial figure even took to Twitter to say as much, to the bafflement of Sami himself.

Cornette said in his post, “Let me tell you something. I never thought that I would say this. But I think now Sami Zayn is my favorite person to watch on television. El Generico certainly wasn’t, but Sami Zayn is incredible. And this whole thing with The Bloodline and The Usos and Uces.”

Cornette also praised Sami Zayn on his podcast The Jim Cornette Experience where he said, “Oh, I’ve been feeling Ucey. Let me tell you something. I never thought that I would say this. But I think now Sami Zayn is my favorite person to watch on television. El Generico certainly wasn’t, but Sami Zayn is incredible.” (H/T RingsideNews.com)

You can see Sami Zayn’s reaction to Cornette’s praise below:

My…dawg? https://t.co/f2tc2cPXnG
— Sami Zayn (@SamiZayn) November 7, 2022

As things stand, tension is continuing to grow within The Bloodline, but it has to boil over at some point. Will Jey come around to Sami being in The Bloodline, or will Roman have to make some changes?

Jim Cornette assures that Theory angered a higher-up in WWE.

As one of the biggest younger stars in the main roster at the moment, Theory has fought for his position.

Since his great days at NXT besides Jhonny Gargano as The Way, until they called up him to the main roster.

Positioning himself as Vince McMahon’s protégée, and becoming Mr. Money In The Bank.

Although he has not had a successful cashing so far, Austin has established himself as an annoying heel creating a great character and promise in the industry.

And now, according to Jim Cornette Theory angered a higher-up in WWE.

While speaking on his podcast, Jim Cornette Experience, Cornette stated that he believes Austin Theory might have angered a higher-up in WWE.

“The one undisputed thing that poor billionaire Vince was doing when he lost his mind was trying to push Austin Theory and make him one of the next top guys. He was the handpicked protege of the Chairman, he was in all the promos. Even if some of the creative was caca, they were trying. Apparently, Austin Theory has pi*sed somebody off. I don’t know what the issue is. Especially Triple H being more inclined to push guys that can work and look like stars, more serious and less of the goofy stuff that Vince was into. Theory can’t beat a fu*king rug no more.” Jim expressed.

“Something’s going on. Either just because there’s backlash because he was Vince’s guy or he pi*sed somebody off. Nobody that has any knowledge of pro wrestling can overlook that this guy’s work is tremendous for his age and his personality and promos for his level of experience of being that young. Something else is going.” (Via Jim Cornette Experience Podcast)

There is no confirmation of the situation besides Cornette’s words.

We will keep you updated.

Eric Bischoff addresses AEW President Tony Khan and says that AEW is not competition for WWE.

Despite the success AEW has found since its founding in 2019, it has always had its critics. It’s hard not to compare the televised product to WWE in terms of presentation.

From the start, everyone from fans to wrestlers considered the upstart to be WWE’s rival as it made up for what they lacked. Tony Khan in particular has taken shots at the other promotion on Twitter.

He often sites the differences between the companies and flaunts AEW’s ratings over WWE’s. He is also quick to defend his company against criticism, for better or worse.

Wrestling legends such as Jim Cornette, Road Dogg, Bubba Ray, and others have discredited their product for various reasons. Former WCW booker and Raw General manager Eric Bischoff has been one, in particular, to take shots at AEW.

While speaking on Ryan Satin’s “Out of Character” podcast, he attacked the theory that wrestling ratings had declined due to different media platforms. During his criticism, he addressed Tony Khan directly.

“That’s an excuse. I’m not buying that. The product is boring. Nothing new has happened. Nothing has evolved. It’s been the same formula up until recently, we’re talking about WWE, which is by far the dominant (company). There is no competition. AEW is not competition, no matter how much Tony Khan wants to believe it is, it’s not. You’re in the same business, Tony, but that’s not the same thing as being in competition. You’re not taking market share, Tony. You’re just in the same business. It’s kind of like having a little mom-and-pop hamburger stand on the corner and saying that you’re in competition with Arby’s. (H/T WreslingNews.com)

Tony Khan has not responded to Bischoff’s words, and he may not. The AEW President has never been one to back down from his detractors.

On the same episode of Out of Character, Eric also discussed his 2017 bankruptcy. The full episode can be heard by clicking the link below.

Legendary promotor and manager Jim Cornette is not a fan of Liv Morgan’s work as he thinks she looks ‘too girly.’

Liv Morgan has been a significant feature within the Raw women’s division in the past few months. She had a match for the Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania with Rhea Ripley as her partner.

Their union would dissolve soon after, but Liv has since stayed in the spotlight through feuding with Judgement Day. The Hell in a Cell premium live event saw her team with Finn Balor and AJ Styles against the heels.

Unfortunately, Judgement Day would seize victory, potentially putting an end to the rivalry between the two groups, especially given Monday’s events. Although Liv has been one of the more prominently featured women, one legend doesn’t care much for her work.

Jim Cornette compared Liv to Rhea Ripley on the latest episode of Jim Cornette Experience and praised Rhea’s skills. He doesn’t like Morgan and feels Rhea has carried her through the bulk of their matches together.

“They’ve been fighting every week. Liv Morgan does not grow on me. She’s too girly to be a wrestler. Rhea Ripley has to, not only bend over backward, but has to do the limbo to make it believable that Liv Morgan is hanging in there with her, right?” Cornette said.

“When Rhea and Liv got in there, again, Ripley is everything I like about women’s wrestling and Morgan is the opposite. She’s too small, her sh*t it’s awkward, she’s trying to do sh*t to bigger people and they’re trying to let her, it doesn’t come across. I don’t… she’s too pretty… I just don’t see it,” he stated. (h/t Sportster.com)

It’s unfortunate Cornette thinks so negatively about Liv, but not surprising as he’s often critical regarding WWE’s current product. While he may not like Morgan’s work, fans have been strongly behind her for a long time now.

This is why WWE has pushed Liv the way they have this year, starting with a title program against Becky Lynch. The two wrestled in some stellar matches as part of their feud, but Becky would always walk away as champion.

Even if Liv is done with Rhea and Judgement Day, WWE will likely keep her as a focal point. With Money in the Bank being the next big event, Liv will probably be in the women’s ladder match.

Given the work she’s put in, this could be her year as she would be a strong favorite to win.

Jim Cornette has recently slammed AEW President Tony Khan as a bad booker, praising MJF’s work in the process.

Jim Cornette is, without a doubt, one of the most known names in the entire pro wrestling business.

His work as a commentator, manager and promoter have made him one of the most respected voices in the world.

During the last episode of his Jim Cornette Experience podcast, Jim slammed AEW’s Tony Khan as one of the worst bookers he’s ever seen, while also praising MJF’s great work in putting Wardlow over.

He said:

“He put Wardlow over like a million dollars. And Wardlow’s not only more over than he was going into it, because he did what he said he would, but MJF is more over than ever – he’s hotter now than he’s ever been. He is a genius.

MJF is a once-in-a-generation performer. And Tony Khan is one of the worst amateur bookers I’ve ever seen, who has been blessed with this guy that’s able to get himself over no matter what.” (Via Jim Cornette Experience, H/T RingsideNews)

This isn’t the first time that Cornette criticized AEW’s product, roster or Tony Khan himself.

His comments on Adam Cole’s arrival at All Elite Wrestling last year are a perfect example of that.

After Adam Cole took to twitter to talk about his past as well as future of his career, a certain former wrestling manager replied with his personal opinion.

On twitter, Adam Cole would post about how even though he has had a great thirteen year career, he has yet to enter the prime of his career. As currently Cole is within All Elite Wrestling (AEW) being apart of The Elite and Superkilq.

I’ve had a great 13 year career. I’m 32 years old…

The scary part is I’m not even in my prime yet…

Not scary for me…scary for you. #AdamColeBayBay pic.twitter.com/CPtoqBQ3aM
— Adam Cole (@AdamColePro) November 2, 2021

However, Jim Cornette would then reply on twitter to Cole, with a very negative opinion about Cole joining AEW as well as his colleagues within AEW.

Sad to say, Adam, you should have tweeted this before you left the big time and joined the Lollipop Guild. Every match you spend joking around with and getting kissed by juvenile delinquents instead of kicking stars' asses further blemishes your considerable talent. https://t.co/3YQRqnek9K
— Jim Cornette (@TheJimCornette) November 2, 2021

As of now, Cole has yet to respond to Cornette.

Cornette has been very vocal of AEW and its talent either on his podcast or on his personal twitter account, some agreeing with him and others feeling he is out of touch with modern day wrestling.

Tony Khan and Jim Cornette haven’t always saw eye to eye, but the two still share a common ground of being huge Wrestling fans, with Khan admitting that he is still a fan of the Louisville Slugger.

Tony Khan was recently asked on Busted Open Radio about Jim Cornette’s takes on the AEW product. Khan said…

“To be fair to him, these are his opinions. He says what he thinks and there is stuff on the show that he’s liked before and there’s stuff he hasn’t liked and I think he’s still like that. He’s not saying he loves everything on the show but he has acknowledged a lot of great stuff that happened. What really tickled me and I thought was very cool was his line about CM Punk’s arrival about his debut appearance in AEW on The First Dance and I’ll never forget it. His exact quote was, ‘well it wasn’t what I would have done. It was a lot better. It was perfect.’ I thought that was awesome and it was very fair because I think it was our perfect moment and it was very cool of him to say. He has been very fair recently with the stuff he said and I think that’s great…”

(H/T wrestlingnews.co)

Tony Khan then went onto say that he admires Jim Cornette and that without Cornette, he may not have been influenced to even get into the Wrestling business.

“I really admire him and have looked up to him since I was a small kid. I don’t know if I would be doing this without him because you know there are no textbooks on how to be a wrestling promoter. There are no college classes for it. When I was going to school when I was going to the University of Illinois Laboratory High School and then the University of Illinois for college, those interviews he used to do, he would sit around for 4 hours plus with the smart fans talking and guys would tape it with a camcorder. The quality was terrible but the audio was what was really important and he would talk and tell stories about being a wrestling promoter.

You know the forbidden door is something that is an important part of AEW, the ability to bring in stars from the outside or our stars traveling to other promotions and winning titles and putting on dream matches. It’s very cool but it’s not a completely new concept, the idea of companies working together. That’s something that I learned listening to him. Vince McMahon, Sr. really was very diplomatic about working with other wrestling companies. Andre The Giant was a great political asset for him and Andre The Giant traveled and Vince Sr. did business with a lot of these other promoters and had a pretty decent relationship for a very long time and there is no reason that can’t be done again and there is just a lot about wrestling history that [Cornette] knows and he’s put into the world.

I think a lot of us don’t necessarily agree with all of his opinions and clearly, he doesn’t agree with everything he sees on our show but he’s got a lot of fans for a reason and it’s cool to see he’s really enjoying some of the stuff he sees on the shows and I don’t think anybody can argue with the success, he’s an intelligent person. Look, we’re doing great. Dynamite has been a huge huge success, especially recently. It’s three straight weeks that we’re the number 1 show on all of cable…”

(H/T wrestlingnews.co)

Jim Cornette is known by many as one of the greatest Wrestling managers of all time, aswell as a great mind for the business as a promoter, booker and historian. Tony Khan has made a reputation for himself in his 3 years in Wrestling as a good match promoter, with AEW’s PPV buys doing very well.

5. Karl Anderson Recalls Surprising First Meeting With Vince McMahon

On a recent episode of Talk N’Shop, Karl Anderson spoke about the first time him and Doc Gallows had a meeting with Vince McMahon back in 2016.

“We debuted in the Staples Center. The very next week was England Raw. We were going to attack Roman Reigns that night. He was the WWE Champion at that time. Me and Gallows do whatever we’re told. That’s just the way we came up. I didn’t realize WWE was a completely political insane asylum where you weasel around and try to get different things done, which really confused me at first. Then I figured it out and was like, ‘wow, this is place is fucked.’ I just asked, ‘Hey, does Vince want us to wear the same exact clothes we wore last week or does he want us to wear different clothes? Why would we wear the same exact clothes, this week? Are we broke? Are we poor? Do we just bring the same clothes?’ They’re like, ‘Well, what you should do is go in there and talk to him.’

We got an opportunity to walk in with Vince. We sit down and he goes, ‘What can I do for you fellas?’ We go, ‘Well, Vince, we just want to know if you want us to wear the same clothes last week when we debuted.’ He goes, ‘Jesus Christ, that was easy. Gray for you, black for him. Yes, I wish all these meetings were easy.’ He laughed, big hug. He goes, ‘Is that it?’ ‘Yeah.’ He goes, ‘You guys made a hell of an impact last week, thanks a lot.’ As I walked away, I was like, ‘Fuck, that was an opportunity we missed’ to maybe just talk to him. Brother with him a little bit. Just do something. He was almost expecting a complaint or something else. That part has eaten at me forever because that’s the whole American and WWE mentality that I’ve learned to find out the way it’s supposed to be.

We sat with him [another] couple of times, but it was never about trying to do this or that. It was just, ‘Hey Vince, do you think this is okay? Do you mind us being doctors? Should we not be funny?’ He said, ‘I think it adds another layer to your character.’ ‘Okay, you like it?’ ‘Yes.’ That was it and we walked away. We were booked to be doctors, we liked it and think it’s funny. Then an agent goes, ‘You should talk to Vince about this. Make sure he doesn’t want you to be too funny.'” (H/T Fightful)

4. Kurt Angle Believes Vince McMahon Is ‘Drooling’ Over Gold Medalist

Kurt Angle was interviewed by App.com this past weekend, where he spoke about the American Wrestler, Gable Stevenson, winning the Gold Medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games.

“I was thinking WWE, [WWE chairman and CEO] Vince McMahon is drooling right now

I think that this kid, I think he’s going to continue to wrestle amateur for another four years, probably win another gold medal. Then I think eventually end up in the pro wrestling business or UFC or Bellator MMA. So, the kid has an incredible future.”

Angle then went on to talk about how tough the Olympics can be “The physical part is hard enough. The mental part, the emotional part, is the hardest part about it,” Angle said. “You have continued stress throughout your life, every day of your life, knowing that you have to train your butt off eight to 10 hours a day and you’re shooting for one event, the Olympics, and you’re only going to get one shot most of the time. It’s going to be in a two-day period and you have to be on on those two days. That’s a lot of mental stress and anguish, and I think a lot of athletes are finding out their mental stability is starting to unravel, and it’s very difficult.” (H/T Sportster)
