NWA 73 was night 2, they had a hard act to follow after Empowerrr but they were able to match the quality of the first night perfectly. Once again, Kamille defended her Women’s Championship, this time against Chelsea Green and both women put on a hell of a match. The rest of the card featured a number of amazing matches that showed the tradition of the NWA perfectly. However, not to diminish any of the performers, the two biggest attractions going into this show was the perfectly built main event of Aldis and Murdoch and the return home to the NWA with the Nature Boy Ric Flair set to make an appearance.

When Flair arrived to the building he asked Billy Corgan what he was allowed to say and Billy looked at him and said “You’re Ric Flair and you can say any damn thing you want”. Flair had a lot to say and wanted to speak from the heart. I’m not sure how long the above video will be up as someone uploaded his incredible promo. Ric talked about “no matter what anyone says the NWA is not dead and never will be and I will never let anyone forget that”. He made it a point to thank everyone that picked him up and reminded him that he was Ric Flair! He thanked Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Steve Austin and Vince McMahon for everything that they did for him personally and professionally. He said, “I know you’ll never see this Vince but someone will tell you, I love you Vince.” He made it a point that his heart and loyalty is to the NWA and WWE as they made him and showed him respect. Flair made it a point to point out the importance that the NWA World title had on his life and career.
