1. John Cena Facing Backstage Heat In WWE After Taiwan Apology
John Cena released an apology earlier this week to Chinese media after he called Taiwan a country while promoting his upcoming movie, Fast & Furious 9. However it appears this apology has not gone down too well in WWE.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Wrestling Podcast is reporting that WWE talent are ‘disappointed’ with Cena for apologising, and the board in WWE’s opinion on this was ‘not positive’
Zarian took to Twitter yesterday to simply tweet ‘This John Cena apology is NOT going over well at WWE right now…’

He then later went on to add ‘A lot of the chatter from non executive level status was negative. Personally I don’t know what the boards opinion was but I have heard it’s not positive’

After John Cena made the apology, former WWE star and rival of John Cena, CM Punk, changed his Twitter bio to ‘Taiwan Is A Country’ before changing it soon after. It’s unknown if Punk really was annoyed at Cena, or if he was just being his typical self joking around.
