He was the guy that was technically gifted in that ring but was not supposed to be the guy at the top of the mountain in this industry holding the World Championship in the WWE, but he became…

Anthony Ricciardi covers how he feels Chelsea Green should be booked in the dumpster match on Smackdown and where to go from there Last Saturday while I was on the Wrestling Republic Daily Broadcast, I had a brainstorm of an idea how WWE should book the upcoming dumpster match between Chelsea Green and Michin. I have said multiple times on air before that out of the talents Triple H brought back into the company when he got control that Nia Jax and Chelsea Green maybe the two best. Nia Jax is on without a doubt the best run of her career…
Anthony Ricciardi covers some of the events in the wrestling world for September 2024 that reminds you why it’s still an amazing time to be a wrestling fan. The Roaming Outlaw Because literally so much is happening in wrestling every month it seems wild to me that this isn’t getting enough attention that one of the longest reigning former WWE Champions in JBL who retired years ago has been literally popping up almost everywhere besides WWE and AEW. This year JBL has popped up in GCW, AAA, TNA and MLW. He hasn’t spoken a word on the microphone, but he…
There was a lot of chatter when Santana & Ortiz broke up. Many saw it as the sad self-destruction of an incredible tag team, and with good reason. We had no reason to believe that any of them would succeed in a singles capacity. Besides their final match between themselves, we never really were given a reason to believe they could cut it as singles guys. Now it’s almost a year later, and the view of one half of the former duo has changed completely. Mike Santana decided to cross the line and bet on himself, and I honestly couldn’t…
The WWE has a history of partnering with various companies like WCW and ECW while ultimately buying them out. But will WWE be able to play nice with the Paul Levesque era? With the Paul Levesque era upon us, the company has announced partnerships with TNA, Marigold, and various other wrestling companies. Superstars like AJ Styles and Iyo Sky have announced dates to wrestle in NOAH and Marigold, respectively, but WWE has failed to make announcements for their ventures in Japan. TNA Sends over their Top and Viral Talent TNA has sent over Jordynne Grace, Joe Hendry, and Frankie Kazarian…
Anthony Ricciardi covers some of the events in the wrestling world for July 2024 that reminds you why it’s still an amazing time to be a wrestling fan At least for the time being this is likely going to be a recurring monthly piece that I’m going to be doing, where I talk about some of the true highlights over the past month that remind you just how awesome it is to be a fan. Wrestling is at a really special place right now and this is just a word of advice for younger fans, really appreciate it because this…
Anthony Ricciardi covers some of the events in the wrestling world for June 2024 that reminds you why it’s still an amazing time to be a wrestling fan When I wrote my first piece a few months ago talking about why I thought it was an amazing time to be a wrestling fan, my motivations were to try and combat the negativity of tribalism and to talk about my experiences at WrestleMania 40. Then last month so much happened in wrestling that further reminded me that this is truly special time to be a fan that I needed to write another piece recounting some…
Anthony Ricciardi breaks down his thoughts on the rumors of Shane McMahon going to AEW, and how he thinks how it should be booked. “Never say Never” This phrase has been used so many times over the years in professional wrestling. Over the years we have seen so many things happen that no one could have ever predicted. We’ve seen people leave WWE on bad terms swearing never to return, but eventually come back. One of those people was CM Punk, but as shocking as it was, it probably wouldn’t have happened if he didn’t first return to the wrestling…
“A heart on fire with excitement and passion has a huge magnetic power.” Rhonda Byrne Last month I wrote a piece about how this is an amazing time to be a wrestling fan, my thought was that I could talk about my experience being at mania and all the positive things going on in wrestling in April. I never set out to do a monthly piece to recapture all the things that happened that month, but after the May we just had, I had to talk about it. I have no idea if this will become a monthly thing, I’ll do…
