Where the atmosphere was electric and the talent showed up,” said Wrestling Republic’s Head of Reviewing Coby Galenzoski. He also explained that “every single match did deliver including satisfying endings to storylines that would send any crowd home happy.”
Wrestling Republic Opinion Writer Brandin Adams stated that “great matches paired with finalized storytelling helped to bring this show to life,” while also pointing out that “despite a somewhat lackluster opening match, WM 39 Night One became an unforgettable show of the ages that culminated in a storyteller’s dream main event where the trigger was pulled on a couple of underdogs and the fans in attendance as well as watching all over the world were able to be left satisfied.”
In addition, Wrestling Republic Owner Ben Allison praised the in-ring action and atmosphere too, stating that “night one of WrestleMania 39 was outstanding and both Ripley vs Flair and Owens & Zayn vs The Usos were match of the year contenders.”
