WWE Smackdown June 20 2025 advances quite a bit of things, including the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments. With Randy Orton and Asuka advancing to the finals. And Jade Cargill sending a message to Roxanne. Jey Uso also sharing desires of getting back to Gunther. Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu are set to go at it for the US Championship, with Jacob believing the title is what changed Solo. Jimmy Uso also helping Jacob is an interesting aspect of those issues.
Alexa Bliss helped Charlotte when the Secret Hervice were attacking her. Tiffany and Nia set up one more match, this time Last Woman Standing. John Cena stands over a fallen CM Punk and got to deliver his own pipebomb esque promo onto Punk. Randy Orton and Sami Zayn is the main match to go check out on this show. Alexa and Asuka is fun but everything else is alright. The strength is the flow of the show with good storyline progression.
WWE Smackdown June 20 2025 brings two of the semi final matches of the King and The Queen of the ring tournaments. Asuka looks to continue her dominance since returning against Alexa Bliss. Randy Orton and Sami Zayn both want to be world champions and they have to go through each other to get to the KOTR Finals. After weeks of costing Seth Rollins’ guys their KOTR matches, LA Knight appears on Smackdown. R Truth gets his rematch with John Cena as Ron Killings looks to deal with the champion. And Solo Sikoa wants to hear that Jacob loves him once again as he wants to make up with the US Champion.
GREAT LA Knight Promo: WWE Smackdown June 20 2025 Opening Promo
LA Knight mentions how he has been appearing on both brands. Getting into an issue with Seth Rollins and his guys. Just as he was getting into it Paul Heyman arrived. Always a great pop for Ladies and Gentlemen. There is nothing overall that hasn’t been said by either men. Heyman says several times that Knight should leave the Arena, but by the end it was too late and Bron and Bronson attacked him. Knight ended up with a chair and was able to fight off the duo as Heyman got them to chill.

GREAT Alexa Bliss Vs Asuka – QOTR Semi Finals: WWE Smackdown June 20 2025 First Match
This is a fun little match where the crowd are reacting very well to both of the stars. Asuka just returned and Alexa having some of the best reactions since her return at the beginning of the year. It’s a well done match that has good psychology, with Asuka working on the arm of Alexa. Having several matches in the past they are able to work with the belief that they know each other well. Alexa got a nice dropkick to Asuka in the tree of woe before trying for a twisted bliss. Asuka countered before going for the Empress Impact. Fun match overall with Asuka and Alexa both having great chemistry.
Results: Asuka by Pinfall via Empress Impact

Ron Killings attacked Kit Wilson as it was meant to be Aleister Black Vs Kit Wilson. Producers came out and had to get Ron to leave the ring after he tried to demand Cena to come out right after.
AMAZING King Of The Ring Semi Finalists Promo:
Cody Rhodes says nothing. Jey came out before Cody could say a word and it snowballed from there. We hear Jey talk about how he and Cody have been tag champs before, how they both finished their story and have fought in the trenches. Sami Zayn saying how he made sure to be in Vegas for Jey this year. Being at WM 40 for Cody Rhodes. Zayn declares that he has yet to be a world champion unlike the other semi finalists and it is time for him to finish his story. Randy Orton comes out last, putting Sami Zayn over. Randy claims that Sami is in fact a future world champion but also says Summerslam is not his time and an RKO would prove that.

AMAZING Randy Orton Vs Sami Zayn – KOTR Semi Final:
Brilliant work around their spots, with Randy Orton counter several helluva kicks. Countering one by moving, another by hitting a scoop slam. Brilliant psychology with how we had Randy revisit the announce table back drop but Sami countered it the second time. The Blue thunder bomb counter of the RKO was clean. This just was so well wrestled and was so entertaining. Well done nearfalls that provide you a reason to get behind either wrestler in the match. Randy wins with an RKO and moves on to the finals.
Results: Randy Orton by Pinfall via RKO

BELOW AVERAGE Nia Jax Promo:
Once again Nia Jax starts to tell us how ungrateful Tiffany Stratton is. We have heard this promo several times in the last how many months. This one is no different. Tiffany Stratton comes out and for some reason the end up setting up a last woman standing match for next weeks Smackdown. Iyo Vs Liv is not happening, this could’ve been on Night Of Champions instead especially with that stipulation. Not Nia’s best work, and this promo felt like the match was already made. No escalation or nothing.
Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 1.75 Stars
ABOVE AVERAGE Charlotte Flair Vs Chelsea Green:
A match with a good chunk taken out of it due to the ad break. Charlotte works done Chelsea. Chelsea gets a good reaction for her leg lariat. Charlotte engages with Piper and Alba ringside along with even saluting during the match. The figure 8 easily wins Flair the match. Alexa Bliss would make the save as the Secret Hervice were attacking Charlotte 3 on 1. Flair would deny Alexa a handshake.
Results: Charlotte Flair by Submission via Figure 8
Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 2.50 Stars
AMAZING Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa Promo:
Solo and Jacob both came out and as a whole Sikoa started the first half. Talking about how he was the only one who wanted Jacob to come to the WWE. He was the only one who saw something in him. Giving him the spiel as if Jacob owed his WWE career to Solo. After Jacob talks about what it was like when Solo was Tribal Chief, it was all about working for him and doing his bidding.
Fatu would claim that the United States Championship was getting between them as that was what was making Solo weird. Jacob would challenge Solo for a match and before he could accept, Solo tried to spike Fatu. Fatu caught the arm before a brawl started. JC Mateo would run down and try to help Solo. Making the save for Jacob Fatu was Jimmy Uso. After running off Solo and Mateo, Jacob remained focused on Solo and not really paid attention to Jimmy Uso. The crowd firmly supported Jacob from the beginning to the end, doing the all gas no brakes catchphrase.

GOOD LA Knight Vs Bronson Reed:
It was only a matter of time until Bron Breakker was gonna interfere. Its a fun little match with LA Knight getting good offense like a springboard crossbody to the outside and his springboard elbow. Bronson always does well with the power game as well. Bron ends up Spearing Knight to end the match. Spearing him once more before Reed would hit 3 Tsunami’s.
Results: LA Knight by DQ via Bron Breakker Spear
Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 3.25 Stars
ABOVE AVERAGE R Truth Vs John Cena: WWE Smackdown June 20 2025 Main Event
Another big chunk removed from this match and not much is aired. Cena tries to leave with the championship but just uses it to hit Truth. Punk starts further attack and Cena goes to the ring and lays him out, even putting him through the table.
Results: R Truth by DQ via Championship Strike
Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 2.75 Stars
PERFECT John Cena’s Pipebomb: WWE Smackdown June 20 2025 Closing Promo
John Cena copies a lot of the elements that Punk used in the original pipebomb, with Punk laying on the broken table. Breaking the fourth wall, even mentioning other people while waving to the camera. A lot of similar aspects but it is still a different promo (in terms of purpose) compared to Punk’s pipebomb. It is so greatly done, while he continues to challenge the man that Punk has become. No longer the voice of the voiceless as a million. Claiming that he is the greatest and Punk has just conned everyone in believing that he is the best. Cena says at Night Of Champions he will prove he is the Greatest. He ends the promo saying that everyone will recognize he told the truth and he just used Punk’s Pipebomb as a way to show he is better.
