On tonight’s episode of SmackDown: Liv Morgan takes on Tiffany Stratton. Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne face Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh ahead of their title match. The Street Profits take on the Authors of Pain. And Drew McIntyre goes up against LA Knight.

GOOD Liv Morgan vs Tiffany Stratton with Bianca Belair at ringside:

Stratton immediately said it was Tiffy time and she needed to leave for Elimination Chamber. Morgan, however, was in a fighting mood and dragged her opponent back to the ring. After some back and forth, Morgan nearly pinned Stratton with a Crucifix Driver. Later, while failing to convert the Prettiest Moonsault, Tiffany Stratton hit an Alabama Slama for a near fall. Chaos ensued when Stratton slapped Bianca Belair at ringside. The EST, of course, chased after her but the referee stopped Belair and missed Morgan’s pin. Stratton took advantage and made the pin.

Results: Tiffany Stratton by Pinfall via Rollup

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3 Stars

Drew McIntyre told Kayla Braxton his career depends on how he performs at Elimination Chamber. Bobby Lashley joined the fray and reminded Drew of the time he was locked in a Hurt Lock courtesy of the Almighty.

Cedric Alexander and Ashontee ‘Thee’ Adonis are forming a tag team but can’t agree on what to wear.

Roman Reigns reminded Jimmy Uso that he decided to interrupt Jey Uso’s title match. Paul Heyman was only the messenger. Heyman then told Reigns that Grayson Waller was waiting to see him.

SQUASH – Dante Chen fell victim to Bron Breakker in Breakker’s SmackDown debut.

Finn Balor told Kayla Braxton that Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne have no chance of winning the tag titles.

GOOD Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh vs Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne:

Pete Dunne did his usual limb bending but this this time also bent Dominik’s legs. Later, Bate spun around both JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio. then, Bate and Dunne hit a suplex-lariat combo but Dirty Dom broke up the subsequent pin attempt. In the finish, Bate and Dunne hit a double powerbomb to secure the win. After the match, Finn Balor and Damien Priest attacked the winners but Dunne and Bate fought them off.

Results: Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne by Pinfall

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3.25 Stars

Paul Heyman found Grayson Waller and told him the Tribal Chief wanted to see him.

GOOD The Street Profits vs the Authors of Pain:

The Street Profits started in control with Angelo Dawkins hitting AOP with a Suicide Dive. AOP’s power advantage helped them turn the match around, nearly pinning Montez Ford after a lariat-side Russian Leg Sweep combo. Pandemonium broke out as Bobby Lashley and B-Fab fought with Scarlett and Karrion Kross. This distracted the Profits causing the Authors of Pain to win the match.

Results: The Authors of Pain by Pinfall

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3 Stars

Bayley and Dakota Kai promised revenge on the rest of Damage Control after Kai was attacked by the group.

GOOD LA Knight vs Drew McIntyre:

Other participants in the Elimination Chamber, Logan Paul, and Kevin Owens, joined the announcers’ table. In the match, McIntyre hit LA Knight hard with a suplex outside the ring and then a catapult under the ring. Later, LA Knight perplexed McIntyre but only got a two count out of it. Things broke down completely, as Kevin Owens attacked Drew McIntyre after a collision at the announcers’ table. After the match, all the other participants in the Elimination Chamber match joined in the brawl.

Results: Drew McIntyre by Disqualification

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3 Stars

Overall…

This was a fine episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The matches were good and all pointed attention toward tomorrow’s Premium Live Event. The highlight of the show was the tag match where Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne defeated Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh. The match was good and gave Dunne and Bate momentum ahead of the title match. The low point was the main event match only because the sketchy finish felt repetitive after Tiffany Stratton beat Liv Morgan under questionable circumstances. Both matches featured competitors in the Elimination Chamber and had outside interference affect the finish.

The matches were good but none of them were great. The show structure was good but the didn’t always feel easy to watch nor did the main event set itself apart. The atmosphere was good but not great throughout. The matches built towards the Elimination Chamber but storytelling was nothing special. The production value was high but not a theme of the show.

Tonight on SmackDown: Roman Reigns and the Rock are scheduled to appear. What do they say after the WrestleMania Kickoff and Triple H’s subsequent assertion of power? The Miz faces Logan Paul in an Elimination Chamber qualifier match. Will Paul’s hot run continue or will grand slam champion, Miz, prove to be too much? In another qualifier match, Kevin Owens faces Dominik Mysterio. Will the bodacious brawler overcome “Dirty” Dom? On the women’s side, Zelina Vega faces Tiffany Stratton, and Naomi battles Alba Fyre.

GOOD Kevin Owens vs Dominik Mysterio in an Elimination Chamber Qualifier:

Dominik tried to pump the tires of Judgement Day before the match but the crowd greeted him with merciless boos. KO controlled the match early on but Dom received help thanks to the unexpected distraction of R-Truth on Kevin Owens. Later, Owens made time for a selfie with a fan before a senton to Dom on the floor. Despite a senton and a frog splash, Dominik Mysterio kicked out at two. Mysterio told R-Truth that if the latter got the former a steel chair, R-Truth could be in Judgement Day. R-Truth made his decision by sitting down in the chair rather than giving it to Dom. Kevin Owens took this chance and finished off Dominik Mysterio with a pop-up powerbomb.

Results: Kevin Owens by Pinfall via Pop-up Powerbomb

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3.25 Stars

LA Knight and Drew McIntyre got into a verbal confrontation backstage and had to be separated by referees. Knight went after the Scottish Warrior’s lack of in-ring success lately while McIntyre warned Knight that the fans would eventually turn against him.

GOOD Zelina Vega vs Tiffany Stratton in an Elimination Chamber Qualifier:

Vega took to the air to take out Stratton but she noticed Santos Escobar and the rest of Legado Del Fantasma in the crowd. Later on, Tiffany Stratton hit a vicious Alabama Slama but Vega kicked out nonetheless. The presence of LFD proved to be too much, as Vega got into a tussle with Elektra Lopez. Stratton greeted Vega in the ring with a kick to the face before securing the win with the Prettiest Moonsault.

Results: Tiffany Stratton by Pinfall via the Prettiest Moonsault

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3 Stars

Things got physical between AJ Styles and Karl Anderson after Anderson accused the Phenomenal One of forgetting where he came from.

SQUASH – The Authors of Pain demolished Javier Bernal and Beau Morris of NXT.

Logan Paul gave out an unsolicited “you’re welcome” for wrestling on SmackDown and promised to become an eventual double champion by defeating Seth Rollins.

GOOD the Miz vs Logan Paul in an Elimination Chamber Qualifier Match:

Paul attempted a standing moonsault but landed on the knees of the Miz. Later in the match, Logan Paul had the Miz reeling after hitting a frog splash on the ring apron. The Maverick got creative when he poked the Miz in the eyes and hit Miz with a Skull Crushing Finale. Friends of Logan Paul were in the audience and tried to slip their buddy some brass knuckles. The Miz intercepted the foreign object but decided against using it. The hesitation cost him as Logan Paul pinned him to advance to the Elimination Chamber Match.

Results: Logan Paul by Pinfall

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3 Stars

Tiffany Stratton caused a ruckus when she stormed into Nick Aldis’ office to trash-talk Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair. Jade Cargill was not pleased with the interruption.

ABOVE AVERAGE Naomi vs Alba Fyre in an Elimination Chamber Qualifier Match:

Naomi was in control of the match early on despite the frequent interference of Isla Dawn. A cheapshot from Dawn nearly advanced Fyre to the final match but Naomi kicked out late. After knocking the treacherous Isla Dawn off the apron, Naomi advanced to the Elimination Chamber after locking in a submission hold.

Results: Naomi by Submission

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 2.75 Stars

Dakota Kai begged for Bayley’s help against the rest of Damage Control but Bayley was not in a mood to talk.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced Bron Breakker as the newest signee to SmackDown.

GREAT Roman Reigns and the Rock:

Reigns told the crowd they were collectively idiots and that what is about to be said is bigger than what they may immediately understand. The Rock then entered and told the fans they were the largest gathering of trailer park trash he had ever seen. He then went after the fans for demanding Cody Rhodes finish his story instead of the Rock facing Roman. On the topic of Cody’s story, the Rock said that wanting to finish your story isn’t enough of a reason to get what he wants.

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3.75 Stars

Overall…

This was a very good episode of Friday Night SmackDown that featured several good matches. The highlight of the show was the promo segment with Roman Reigns and the Rock. To say the fans didn’t like the Rock initially taking Cody’s main event spot at Mania is to say almost nothing, so it’s fun to see the Rock lean into this forced heel turn. The low point of the show was the Naomi-Fyre match. Not bad by any stretch but didn’t quite do enough to get three stars.

Most of the matches were good but none of them got to the level of great. The show structure was very good but the last match being the lowest rated slowed down the flow. Several stories were advanced, mostly centering around Elimination Chamber, but none in an exceptional way. The atmosphere was very good at times but not consistently great. Production value was high as always and the fact that every match was a qualifier for Elimination Chamber definitely made the upcoming Premium Live Event the theme of the show.

Matches: 0.25/1 Stars

Show Structure: 0.75/1 Stars

Atmosphere: 0.5/1 Stars

On tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown: Triple H addresses the shocking events from last night’s WrestleMania Kickoff. How will the Game respond to the chaos? Bayley addresses her departure from Damage Control. Bianca Belair faces Mia Yim in one-on-one action.

GREAT Triple H addresses the WrestleMania Kickoff:

Almost immediately, the crowd started to chant “Rocky sucks.” Triple H took the chance to assert that he is the one who makes the decisions in WWE. With that, Cody Rhodes will face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Championship at WrestleMania. Then, Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce announced a series of qualification matches for the Elimination Chamber match in Perth, Australia. The first match will be Drew McIntyre vs AJ Styles. McIntyre came to the ring with a mic and bragged that his shirt degrading CM Punk is outselling the merchandise for Punk. The Scottish Warrior then said he would give the WWE Universe the best champion for business.

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3.75 Stars

GREAT Drew McIntyre vs AJ Styles in an Elimination Chamber Qualifying match with LA Knight on commentary:

The first qualifying match saw a lot of good back and forth to start. Styles chop blocked McIntyre’s knee but the Scottish warrior got revenge by knocking Styles off the turnbuckle. Drew McIntyre thought the match was his after hitting a Future Shock DDT. However, Styles dodged the Claymore from the weak-kneed Scot. Things took a turn after McIntyre threw AJ Styles into LA Knight. Knight climbed onto the rope while Styles pinned McIntyre. An irate Styles punched LA Knight off the apron but the distraction opened the window for McIntyre to hit Styles with a Claymore. McIntyre to Elimination Chamber.

Results: Drew McIntyre by Pinfall via Claymore

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3.5 Stars

Sami Zayn says he needs to beat Randy Orton in their qualifying match to build momentum.

Pretty Deadly plotted revenge against Pete Dunne for the damage to Kit Wilson’s hand.

GOOD Bianca Belair vs Mia Yim in an Elimination Chamber qualifier:

Belair went for a KOD right off the bat but Michin escaped. Michin controlled much of the match after that but lost control after failing to convert a senton in the corner. Later, Michin hit a superplex but Belair kicked out at two. The EST attempted a second KOD but Michin attempted her finish. Unfortunately for Michin, Bianca Belair reversed the move and finally converted a KOD.

Results: Bianca Belair by Pinfall via KOD

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3 Stars

Paul Heyman interrupted a conversation between Triple H and Bron Breakker. Heyman warned Triple H he will bring Roman Reigns and the Rock with him to SmackDown next week.

GREAT Bayley leaving Damage Control:

Bayley lamented that no matter how much she gave to Damage Control, they did nothing for her in return. Then Dakota Kai came to the ring pleading for Bayley’s forgiveness. Bayley was not in a forgiving mood, saying Kai was also with the others laughing at her. The Royal Rumble winner then asked Bayley to choose between her and the rest of Damage Control. That was when Iyo Sky and the Kabuki Warriors showed up. Kai made her decision when she drove off Sky and the Kabuki Warriors with a steel chair.

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3.5 Stars

Bobby Lashley will face Bronson Reed for a spot in the Elimination Chamber match.

GREAT Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne vs DIY in a championship qualification match:

DIY held an early advantage after they took the match outside the ring. This match saw a lot of back and forth with some hard-hitting moves. Ciampa hit Bate with Project Ciampa but the Big Strong Boy shockingly kicked out. DIY went for a double team late in the match but Pete Dunne broke it up with some finger twisting. In the end, Dunne and Bate advance to the title match thanks to a Bitter End from Pete Dunne.

Results: Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne by Pinfall via Bitter End

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3.5 Stars

Domenik Mysterio found out he will face Kevin Owens in an Elimination Chamber match qualifier. R-Truth then showed up and mistook Kevin Owens for the Miz.

Speaking of the Miz, Nick Aldis informed Logan Paul he will face The Miz in an elimination chamber qualifier.

GOOD Sami Zayn vs Randy Orton in an Elimination Chamber qualifier:

Orton started with momentum but Sami Zayn turned things around when he slammed Orton into the announcers’ table. This dealt damage to Orton’s back that he would feel for the rest of the match. Zayn later landed a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. In the end, Orton hit an RKO after dodging an aerial attack from Sami Zayn. After the match, Orton had a stare-down with the other man to have earned a spot in the Elimination Chamber match, Drew McIntyre.

Results: Randy Orton by Pinfall via RKO

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3.25 Stars

Overall…

This was a great episode of SmackDown that featured some great matches and advanced several stories. The highlight of the show was the opening segment with Triple H and the two general managers. Triple H did a great job of advancing the story with Roman Reigns and the Rock by asserting his authority over creative. It will be interesting to see how things play out between the Rock and Triple H. The low point of the show was the match between Bianca Belair and Michin. It was a good match but it didn’t stack up to other segments in terms of quality or storytelling.

There were a couple of great matches but none quite reached the level of amazing. The show structure was good as the show felt easy to watch but it wasn’t fantastic from start to finish. The atmosphere was very good as the crowd was loud but not consistently so. Several storylines were advanced but most not in an exceptional way. The production value was high but this episode didn’t have a theme to it.

Tonight on Friday Night SmackDown live from Montreal: Gunther defends the Intercontinental Championship against Madcap Moss. Will the Ring General’s historic title run continue? Drew McIntyre and Sheamus take on the Viking Raiders. Will they gain revenge on the Viking Raiders? And Sami Zayn returns to his hometown ahead of tomorrow’s title bout with Roman Reigns!

ABOVE AVERAGE Natalya and Shotzi vs Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler:

Baszler and Rousey were focused on submission moves early in the match. Then, Natalya and Shotzi turned things around. Shotzi landed a suicide dive and Natalya followed up with a clothesline. A big moment came when Shotzi hit Ronda Rousey with a brutal DDT on the ring apron. Natalya had Rousey locked into a Sharpshooter but Baszler broke it up just in time. In the finish, Ronda Rousey submitted Shotzi.

Results: Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler by Submission via Armbar

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 2.75 Stars

GOOD Bray Wyatt and Uncle Howdy attack Hit Row:

Hit Row started with a rap attacking Montreal, then the lights went dark and Wyatt appeared with Uncle Howdy. The two of them took out Hit Row, a mandible claw to Top Dolla, and a Sister Abigail to Ashante Thee Adonis. Bray Wyatt then said he would face the winner of tomorrow’s match between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley.

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3 stars

Madcap Moss told us not to doubt him in his matchup with Gunther.

GOOD Drew McIntyre and Sheamus vs the Viking Raiders:

This match started with some intense brawling that quickly made its way outside the ring. As Sheamus sat dazed on the apron, Valhalla stared eerily at him. Later on, McIntyre nearly got the pin on a Michonoku Driver. Sheamus landed a knee from the turnbuckle and wanted to follow it up with a Brogue Kick. unfortunately for him, Erik countered with a powerbomb. In the finish, Sheamus broke up a tandem powerbomb with a Brogue Kick. this allowed McIntyre to take out Erik with a Claymore for the victory.

Results: Drew McIntyre and Sheamus by Pinfall via Claymore

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3.25 Stars

Karrion Kross called out Rey Mysterio.

ABOVE AVERAGE Asuka vs Liv Morgan:

Things got very chaotic at the announcer’s table, as Raquel Rodriguez came to trash-talk Carmella, who was on commentary. Then, Nikki Cross emerged to kiss Michael Cole on the head and sat on Wade Barrett’s lap. Meanwhile, back in the ring, Morgan and Asuka trade blows. One highlight came when Morgan landed Oblivion from the turnbuckle. In the finish, Asuka submitted Morgan. After the match, tomorrow’s elimination chamber’s participants traded finishers in the ring.

Results: Asuka by Submission via Armbar

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 2.5 Stars

GREAT Gunther vs Madcap Moss for the Intercontinental Championship:

Gunther physically controlled the match early on but Moss turned things around with a spine buster. Later, Madcap Moss hit the champion with a punchline but Gunther kicked out of it. A highlight came when Moss hit a fallaway slam off the turnbuckle. Despite the valiant effort from Moss, Gunther finished him off with a powerbomb to retain the IC.

Results: Gunther by Pinfall via Powerbomb

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3.5 Stars

AMAZING Sami Zayn:

Montreal gave a huge welcome to its hometown hero. The crowd was electric throughout the entirety of this brief promo. Zayn couldn’t even start because the crowd was so loud. Zayn said that while Wrestlemania may be the biggest show of the year, tomorrow night is the biggest night of his life. He also told Roman Reigns that he will be going against the entire city of Montreal.

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 4.25 stars

Overall…

This was a good episode of SmackDown that featured a few very good matches and ended with a great moment with Sami Zayn. Zayn’s promo was the highlight of the show as the crowd was absolutely electric and Zayn showed a lot of real emotion during the segment. Also in the show, the Viking Raiders had a very good match. Madcap Moss also put on a great match with Gunther. The lowlight of the night was the Asuka-Liv Morgan match. The antics at the announcer’s table were funny but the segment was chaotic.

The match scores lost points because a few matches were just ok. The show structure was hurt by a slow start to the show. The atmosphere was good overall but some of the segments didn’t get a great crowd reaction. Other than the Zayn segment, most storylines were advanced in an ok way but not great. The production/theme was good as usual.

Matches: 0.5/1 Stars

Show Structure: 0.75/1 Stars

On tonight’s episode of SmackDown: Ricochet and Braun Strowman battle Imperium for a shot at the SmackDown tag titles. A fatal four-way qualifier for the women’s elimination chamber match. Who will earn a spot from the field of Zelena Vega, Shayna Baszler, Shotzi, and Natalya? Charlotte Flair defends the SmackDown Women’s Championship against the persistent Sonya Deville. How will Deville fare in this bout? And Roman Reigns addresses the state of the Bloodline. What will the Tribal Chief say about Sami Zayn and Jey Uso?

Paul Heyman told Kayla Braxton the Bloodline has no comment on Jey Uso’s status.

GREAT Braun Strowman and Ricochet vs Imperium:

Imperium tried to counter Strowman’s strength by attacking him simultaneously from two sides, but this failed. Later, Braun Strowman gave Ricochet a boost as he jumped over the top rope and onto Imperium. Gunther tried to interfere to help his stable mates, but the referee tossed him from ringside. The turning point in the match came after Giovanni Vinci hit Ricochet with a brainbuster. As Vinci made the pin, Strowman pulled Vinci out of the ring. In the finish, Ricochet hit a Swanton Bomb off of Strowman’s shoulders to pick up the win.

Results: Braun Strowman and Ricochet by Pinfall via Swanton Bomb

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3.5 Stars

Sonya Deville confronted Charlotte Flair in an interview ahead of their championship match.

Rey Mysterio and the New Day did a promotional segment for NASCAR. During the segment, Rey defeated Domenik in a race.

ABOVE AVERAGE Charlotte Flair vs Sonya Deville for the SmackDown Women’s Championship:

Flair was in complete control for the early part of this match, dropping Deville with a crossbody off the turnbuckle. Despite this early dominance, Sonya Deville nearly made the pin after a pump kick. Deville mocked Flair by setting her up for a Figure Eight and wooing, leading to a near rollup victory. Ultimately, Charlotte Flair retained the title due to a Figure Eight.

Results: Charlotte Flair by Submission via Figure Eight

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 2.75 Stars

Jimmy Uso informed Roman Reigns that neither he nor Solo Sikoa has heard from Jey in the past week. Reigns sent Jimmy and Solo to go find their brother.

GOOD the Brawling Brutes vs the Viking Raiders:

The Brawling Brutes managed to gain control of this match, punctuated by ten beats of the Irish Drum from both Ridge Holland and Butch. A distraction from Valhalla allowed the Raiders back into the match. Later, Butch nearly got the pinfall victory after a hurricanrana from the turnbuckle. However, the Viking Raiders won on a tandem powerbomb. After the match, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus attacked Erik and Ivar.

Results: The Viking Raiders by Pinfall via Ragnarok

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3 Stars

ABOVE AVERAGE Shotzi vs Natalya vs Shayna Baszler vs Zelina Vega in an Elimination Chamber qualifier:

Vega almost won the match via a Canadian Destroyer but Baszler broke up the pin attempt. Later, it looked like Baszler had a leg up as she put several competitors into a kirifuda clutch. In the end, Natalya won the match after forcing Zelena Vega to tap out in a sharpshooter.

Results: Natalya by Submission via Sharpshooter

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 2.75 Stars

Roman Reigns stressed the need for unity in maintaining the Bloodline. Reigns then told them to go eat while he handled business.

GREAT Roman Reigns addressed the state of the Bloodline:

Roman Reigns told the crowd he would prefer to talk about someone who matters, like Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes. As the crowd chanted for Sami Zayn, Reigns said that Sami Zayn used him. Zayn then snuck into the ring and attacked Reigns from behind. After chasing Reigns out of the ring with a chair, Zayn said he was coming for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa then beat down Sami Zayn. Reigns then told Sami Zayn he would get the championship match he wanted because Reigns wants revenge for breaking up the Bloodline.

Matt Cookson WR Star Rating – 3.5 stars

Overall…

This was a good episode of SmackDown. The matches were decent but the real highlight of the show was the development of the story involving Sami Zayn and the Bloodline. Zayn will indeed get his title match as Roman Reigns blamed him for breaking up his family. The lowlight of the show was probably the women’s title match. Wasn’t a ton of drama as it was obvious going in that Deville wasn’t going to win. Especially since Rhea Ripley just picked Flair as her Wrestlemania opponent.

The match score lost points because outside of the opener, none of them were great or better. The show structure was pretty good but a couple of above-average matches slowed the flow. The atmosphere was good but the crowd noise was lacking at times, particularly during the less exciting matches. The announcement of the Zayn-Reigns match was great but not everything in the show was perfect from a story perspective. And production was good but nothing special in terms of a theme.

Matches: 0.5/1 Stars

Show Structure: 0.75/1 Stars

Alexa Bliss wants to work on her character and is content not being a champion in WWE

Alexa Bliss debuted on the WWE Smackdown roster in 2016. Since then Alexa Bliss has found several levels of success. Alexa Bliss is a three-time RAW and two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion. She was the first woman to win both the RAW and SmackDown Women’s titles. Along with Nikki Cross she was also the first two-time Women’s Tag Team Champions. All these accolades made the WWE Superstar the second Women’s Triple Crown Champion.

On top of all those accomplishments Little Miss Bliss was also the first woman to win the Elimination Chamber match. Although one of the most accomplished women on the roster she has never captured the NXT championship, keeping her from being a Grand Slam champion.

WWE Character instead of Champion says Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss recently spoke with BT Sport YouTube channel ‘The Run-In’. She talked about Wargames, her character and repeat champions in the WWE.

Bliss discussed whether playing different characters is more exciting than holding titles and how she’s enjoying seeing fresh faces competing for the championship.

“For me, yeah. I just feel like I’ve won…We see a lot of the same people hold titles, so it’s nice to see new people hold titles.
Although she would enjoy being a WWE Women’s champion again, Alexa said she also enjoys help build other talent.

“It’s nice to see the other girls have their moment, but I also want to be the character that’s working across from them. I would love to be champ again, but for me, it’s the creative aspect that really drives me.”

The creative aspect of her character is what Bliss would like to focus on. She expressed how she would like to spend more time evolving her character heading into next year.

“I want to evolve my character. I want to see what else I can become and I think that’s my main goal. I think there’s a lot more to explore. There’s every type of person out there, so why not try them all.”

WWE Elimination Chamber is going to be heading to Montreal, Quebec Canada in 2023

WWE made the announcement that Canada will be seeing its first PPV since Summerslam 2019. This time around the Bell Centre in Montreal will host Elimination Chamber February 18, 2023.

Elimination Chamber will be the first premium live WWE event to happen in Montreal in 14 years. The last being WWE Breaking Point in 2009 that brought a card stacked with superstars like Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston, The Undertaker, The Miz and now AEW‘s CM Punk.

This time around Montreal will get the last PPV on ‘The Road to Wrestlemania’ and Friday Night SmackDown Friday, February 17 the night before. So we can only anticipate the possibilities of what may happen.

Could we see the return of ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes or ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton? Will ‘The Honorary Uce’ Sami Zayn bring ‘The Bloodline’ to his hometown? We can hope Canadian fan favorite and Marieville Quebec native Kevin Owens makes an appearance.

One thing we do know for sure is following the success of WWE’s recent live event tour across the country. Canada is ready for a WWE premium live event after an almost 4 year hiatus.

Since AJ Styles made his long awaited WWE debut at the Royal Rumble in 2016, he has captured the attention of the WWE Universe by putting on thriller after thriller in between the ropes.

Styles made his professional wrestling debut all the way back in 1998, and quickly got a reputation around the United States as being one of the most promising young stars.

He went on to become one of TNA’s breakout stars, where he was given a platform to get his name out there on national television, before becoming one of the cornerstones for the promotion.

However in 2014 Styles left TNA and headed to NJPW, where he joined the Bullet Club faction and helped bring American eyes towards the Japanese product.

While throughout this illustrious career the phenomenal one has put on many classics inside the squared circle, today we will be focussing on what I believe are the top 10 matches from AJ Styles’ WWE career so far.

10. AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt, Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton & Shane McMahon vs Braun Strowman, Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins: Survivor Series 2016

With 2016 being the first Survivor Series since the return of the brand split, the show was based around the brand vs brand stipulation for the first time in history.

In just the few months since the brand split, AJ Styles had already cemented himself as the face of SmackDown after he defeated Dean Ambrose for the WWE Championship at Backlash.

With Styles leading SmackDown into action alongside the commissioner of the blue brand, Shane McMahon, the team gave Team Raw a hell of a fight, leading to one of the best Survivor Series matches of the past decade.

Despite Styles not managing to lead Team SmackDown to a victory, as well as a few other hiccups during the match including Shane McMahon getting taken out of the match early due to injury, the match still managed to bring back fans excitement for the yearly 5v5 Survivor Series Elimination match, something that had not been present for a few years before.

Alexa Bliss hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view that was held in Saudi Arabia back in February. During the event, she lost in the six woman chamber match to Bianca Belair.

According to PW Insider, this is due to her upcoming wedding with musician Ryan Cabrera. The couple met back in 2019 after being introduced by The Miz, and got engaged in November 2020.

According to the report, the couple is slated to be married this week at a secret location in Palm Springs, California. The wedding guests will supposedly be informed of the location of the nuptials shortly before the ceremony takes place.

Bliss was not seen this past weekend in Dallas at WrestleMania Axxess, despite there being an “Alexa’s Playground” set and a cardboard cutout of her. Fans also pointed out on social media that Bliss was not available to meet them.

Bliss has also addressed on Twitter her absence from television. On March 1st, she responded to a fan who asked her why she wasn’t booked on the RAW after Elimination Chamber.

“Yeah … I don’t know,” wrote Bliss.

During the 2022 edition of the Elimination Chamber event, Bobby Lashley, who was the WWE Champion at the time, suffered an injury which made him unable to compete for the rest of the match. You know how the rest goes, Lesnar comes in, beats up everyone and wins the WWE Title.

However, in the recent weeks, there have been some reports that Lashley would be able to compete at Wrestlemania. With that out of the way, the next thing on the list was to figure out who would face The Almighty at The Showcase of the Immortals. There have been many rumours such as adding him to the match between Reigns & Lesnar or having him face someone like Seth Rollins, Big E (when he wasn’t injured) and others but nothing was very official.

A recent report from Fightful Select states that as of this weekend, WWE plan on having Bobby Lashley VS Omos at Wrestlemania. However, nothing has been made official by WWE officials.

Both competitors have dominated on Monday Nights as they are some of the strongest men on the roster right now. This match would be a great way to bring back Lashley into the action while finally giving Omos a worthy opponent.
