GCW has quickly ascended up the ranks on the list of the Top Independent Promotions in the world, putting on well over a dozen great shows out in 2021 alone, and they looked to kickoff May the very same way they came out of April, red hot.
GOOD: Ashes to Ashes kicked off with some hype chants from the Sold Out Showboat Arena, before we immediately hear Rickey Shane Page’s Theme followed by stereo boo’s from everyone in attendance. Emil Jay introduced him as the FORMER GCW World Champion which received a huge pop. RSP took the mic but before he could get a word out, Emil took the mic and announced that following losing the Title to Nick Gage, Rickey has been removed from the GCW Roster and placed on the JCW Roster!
GREAT: Atticus Cogar defeated Tony Deppen via Referee Stoppage after Cogar removed the tape from off of his wrist and proceeded to choke out Deppen, causing him to pass out. This was a hot opener to the show, your classic Heel vs Babyface Grudge Match and it didn’t drag at any point.
RESULT – Atticus Cogar wins by Referee Stoppage.

GOOD: Ironbeast (KTB & Shane Mercer) defeated Bussy (Effy & Allie Kat) after Mercer ended up being a freak of nature once again nailing an Avalanche Moonsault Fallaway Slam into an assited Powerbomb/German Suplex combination with KTB, pinning Effy for the Win.
RESULT: Ironbeast wins by Pinfall.

MUST WATCH: Lee Moriarty defeated Joey Janela with an Avalanche Falcon Arrow from the top rope that absolutely folded Janela to end what was a fantastic Match that had the whole crowd on their feet for the entirety of the action. Post Match, these two had nothing but respect for each other and the cheers rained praising Janela for putting over what could be Wrestling’s next Top Star.
RESULT: Lee Moriarty wins by Pinfall.

GOOD: Mance Warner defeated Nolan Edward in a brutal Deathmatch after Ole Mancer chokeslammed No Flinch Nolan from the Top Rope through a Table with not just one but multiple Light Tube Bundles. After the Match, Nolan’s back was so Blood Red that it looked like someone painted Red all over him.
RESULT: Mance Warner wins by Pinfall.

Good: AJ Gray defeated Yoya, Ken Broadway, Frontman Jah, Ninja Mack & Dante Leon in your typical fast pace, all offense Scramble Match that was a great way to cool down before the 2 Big Main Events set to follow. After the Match, AJ got on the Mic and said he wants the Title Match he never received. The King answered this callout and we got the huge mosh pit for his entrance as all the MDK Gang filled the arena. Once in the ring, Gage turned his back to AJ and was instantly attacked. It was later Announced that Nick Gage will Defend the GCW Title against AJ Gray May 15th in Vegas.
RESULT: AJ Gray wins by Pinfall.
Zachary Linse’s WR Star Rating – 3.5 Stars
MUST WATCH: GCW World Title Match, Nick Gage defeated Jordan Oliver in a brutal anything goes Match with lot’s of Scary Bumps including a devastating Superplex from the inside of the Ring to the outside. Gage eventually sealed the Deal with a Chokebreaker, despite Jordan being out of his element, he put on a great showing here and saved The King from a Post-Match beatdown afterward.
RESULT: Nick Gage wins by Pinfall.
