Alex Windsor has opened up on the sexualization in women’s wrestling, claiming that was the main reason why she decided to open an OnlyFans.
Alex Windsor is undoubtedly one of the best female British wrestlers in the world right now. After having a successful run as the reigning RevPro Women’s Champion, Alex Windsor proceeded to travel to Japan and won championships in many of the country’s top promotions.
She also made history by being part of the first-ever women’s main event match in Dubai, alongside fellow British wrestler Charlie Morgan.
Earlier this week, Alex Windsor became the latest guest on Wrestling Republic’s The Soul Sessions and discussed about this and a variety of topics. During the interview, she opened up on the sexualization in women’s wrestling, while also claiming this was a key factor in the creation of her OnlyFans. While reflecting on this, she said:
“I will say before I got my OnlyFans I had that stereotypical view, and I did think it’s a bit seedy, you’d kind of think I wouldn’t ever want to do that. But I think there was something that happened to me, for me. I was scrolling through Twitter and I got mentioned in a comment and someone had taken a screen grab of my match that I had and the position I was in, just happened to be in the middle of a match. I was obviously leaning over to get someone, then screen grabbed it.”
Alex Windsor concluded by saying ” I just thought to myself female wrestlers are always looked as sexual objects. No matter how hard we try people are always going to look at us in that kind of way. I just thought like, you know what why not use that, not against anyone, but kind of use that to my advantage.”
