Wednesday Night’s AEW Dynamite has been awarded with Wrestling Republic’s Episodic TV Show of the Year Award for 2023.
All Elite Wrestling’s main weekly show AEW Dynamite has had very solid match cards and well rated shows in the Wrestling Republic scale throughout the entire year.
All of this, alongside the incredible in-ring action and great storylines that were presented on the shows, have turned AEW Dynamite into one of the most awaited shows of the week for all pro wrestling fans.
WWE’s NXT and Monday Night Raw were runners up in this category after a vote conducted by Wrestling Republic’s esteemed voting committee.
The Voting Committee’s Reasonings For The Choice
Wrestling Republic’s Opinion Writer Megan Ambers explained she voted for AEW Dynamite “not because of its consistent compelling storytelling, but a lot for its high-energy matches, for the most part and its efforts to keep the audience entertained.” She also pointed out that “some weeks fell flat, but I never had the urge to stop watching the program, I throughly enjoy AEW for them providing an exciting experience.”
“While I was tempted to vote NXT (which has been very consistent throughout the year), I just feel like Dynamite’s high points have been untouchable,” said Wrestling Republic Opinion Writer Bailey Jackson. He continued by stating that “Eddie Kingston vs Bryan Danielson, MJF vs Adam Cole 1, Rush vs Danielson, and so much more have been featured on Dynamite this year. This just exemplifies the high standard that is held for Dynamite, and while some episodes may not be spectacular, there will always be at least one great match or segment in the mix to make the episode worth a watch.”
In addition, Wrestling Republic Daily Broadcast Host Clark Taylor explained that “it’s Dynamite, then NXT, then Raw, really it’s that simple.”
What’s Next For AEW Dynamite In 2024?
With new massive signings (such as NJPW star Will Ospreay) and returns from injury, AEW Dynamite will continue to feature some of the world’s very best talents in enjoyable high-level matches.
And if we have this in mind, fans can still count AEW Dynamite as one of the most important weekly pro wrestling shows of the world in 2024 as well.
