This is a rather fine match with an atmospheric boost for it. Jericho getting please retire chants and mentioning the Cardiff football club, claiming not even Jericho could help them get back into the Premiere league. Learning Tree gets their heat by being difference makers for Jericho. There are a handful of good spots and enjoyable moments but this is a good match simply boosted by the atmosphere. PERFECT MJF and Will Ospreay Face To Face: AEW Dynamite August 21 2024 Top Promo
The reactions for WIll Ospreay are magical. Completing singing the theme song before cheering for him with nothing else playing. Security standing around the ring. MJF gets a boo for his initial riff before getting the crowd to sing the theme also.

Saying that people didn’t talk about the main event for the match but for what Cole and MJF did. Ospreay tells MJF that Tony Khan had to call him to put on a classic because his main champion couldn’t. Will claims this is about restoring the feeling because AEW has gone away from being the alternative.
MJF tells Will he is right because he doesn’t care about the people. Saying winning is what americans can do best. AMAZING Kazuchika Okada Vs Claudio Castagnoli – AEW Continental Championship:
This match does well in a few things. There are no problems with the wrestling itself. The crowd is firmly into this match. Very good psychology where moves like the pop up uppercut are being protected by Okada trying to leave the ring. Great selling for both men. The story of the match tries to rely on the stipulation with nobody allowed ringside. Having the 20 minute time limit became crucial with Okada and Claudio both failing to win. The urgency was barely felt with a minute left but overall the match didn’t have much of a story towards it. Not structured too well, just a 20 minute wrestling match.
Results: Nobody by a result of a Draw via 20 Minute Time Limit Expiry.

From Cry Me A River chants for Jack Perry, to FTR getting chants for them. This is just a fun and enjoyable trios match. They do well with working on dynamics already present, being the two feuds. FTR working with The Bucks and Darby/Jack working together for some moments. The Elite work and beat down Darby before he gets the hot tag. The faces look in Scorpion Death Locks on everyone, get a pop. FTR and Darby combine the Power and Glory Superplex and splash with a Coffin Drop for the win.
