AEW All In Texas 2025 brings a very historic event for AEW in the United States. Loaded with high quality wrestling. The tag match between EVPs/Swerve and Ospreay. The Casino Gauntlets were both loaded with fun and enjoyment. A beautiful moment for Dustin Rhodes. Mone Vs Storm was amazing. Kenny and Okada is a magical thing that it even happened again. Adam Copeland returning to attack FTR. Athena winning in her hometown. The Death Riders lost both their matches, one for the trios championship at the beginning of the night and the second being Jon Moxley finally losing the belt.
As a whole, the big omen, the big flaw of this show is the length. This was a six hour wrestling event which is the longest of all time. But also the first quarter of the show really struggled to set the tone and really make any viewer feel just how special this event was. Not to mention the somber nature of Adam Cole unofficially retiring from Wrestling. It was a tough start but also helped to see that the start of the show had the DR losing, and so did the end. Book ending the show with the company driving story being in both slots is at least enjoyable.
AEW All In Texas 2025 brings a first ever show to Globe Life Field. With a triple main event scheduled to take on the lone star state. Two champions collide for the AEW Women’s World Championship, Mercedes Mone the winner of the Owen faces Toni Storm. Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada bring their history to America soil for the Unified Championship. Jon Moxley and Hangman Adam Page have a second Texas Death Match this time with the AEW World Championship on the line. Both Casino Gauntlet Matches, World Trios and Tag Titles on the line and the TNT championship is set for a new champion with Adam Cole vacating the championship. The Young Bucks put their EVP status on the line against Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland.

ABOVE AVERAGE Sons of Texas and Von Erichs Vs Shane Taylor Promotions:
Fundamentals: 0.50
Atmosphere: 0.75
Storytelling: 0.50
Psychology: 0.50
Innovation: 0.50
Personal Quotes:
“Very little to note in this opening zero hour matchup. This portrayed a simple dynamic, with the only standouts of real note being Shane Taylor for his work both on offence and defence, and Kevin Von Erich for placing the claw on Ogogo. Solid work, but nothing to write home about” – David Sheldon
“Definitely shocked that this was still going to take place given the TNT championship match made with Dustin and Sammy. This match really is nothing special, its a beautiful moment for The Von Erichs and the five Iron Claws at once is a lovely moment. But that’s really the only thing that makes this stand out. ” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Team Dustin by Pinfall via Four Iron Claws
Coby Galenzoski and David Sheldon WR Star Rating – 2.75 Stars

Storytelling: 0.75
Psychology: 0.50
Innovation: 0.50
Personal Quotes:
“While I was devastated not to get the Ishii/Hechicero faceoff I salivated over at the announcement of this match, this nonetheless provided great crowd entertainment. The Rizzler was extraordinarily over, as was Big Boom AJ. Big Justice may have lacked the required charisma to take such a starring role in the match layout however. The in-ring work was solid despite a surprising lack of chemistry between Hechicero and Hologram, with Ishii and Archer doing excellent hoss work alongside Kyle O Reilly and Rocky Romero as ever reliable hands. Not much more you can ask from a zero hour match designed almost solely to heat up the crowd. ” – David Sheldon
“This was very much done well and this was a match designed to support the moment. Building around heat by targeting Big Justice that was sitting ringside. The heels properly got their heat. Using the fact that AJ is gonna defend his son. They build to the end of the match which saw Rocky Romero, the original Big Justice instigation, get speared by Justice and hit with a PowerBoom by AJ. It’s a fun match, still not as electric as him and QT, but it’s a good time.” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Big Boom AJ by Pinfall via PowerBoom on Rocky Romero
Coby Galenzoski and David Sheldon WR Star Rating – 3.25 Stars
GREAT FTR Vs The Outrunners:

Storytelling: 0.75
Psychology: 1
Innovation: 0.50
Personal Quotes:
“While lacking the passion and crowd reaction of their previous bout, this nonetheless contained strong tag psychology and the usual good work from both teams. Some spots felt a little repetitive of their previous excellent bout on Collision but it is impossible for FTR to not put forth captivating psychology and that, combined with the charisma of the Outrunners, made for another fun entry into their series. ” – David Sheldon
“It is always going to be tough for lightning to strike twice. Of course in an FTR match the tag psychology is typically the strongest part of it, and it was here. Its well wrestled and by the end of it, FTR cheat to get the victory. Stokely aiding in keeping the feet on the ropes for FTR to get the win. Well wrestled match but nothing more than that. ” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: FTR By Pinfall via Rope Assisted Roll Up
Coby Galenzoski and David Sheldon WR Star Rating – 3.50 Stars

Personal Quotes:
“I was positively perplexed with the decision to begin the show with this, but in isolation it contained much good work. Joe leading the babyface charge against the heels and ultimately paying the price in the post match being taken out by the Death Riders. Good work from Shibata and Kidd, and each participant played their role well, but it struggled to overcome a confused crowd who appeared like me not to understand why this was the opening match. They came alive for the finish however, a fantastic spinning muscle buster. Not the right opener, but not bad work in isolation. ” – David Sheldon
“I share a similar sentiment with David about this being the opening match. Those personal feelings are not represented in the rating. This is a fine match and well worked match. Samoa Joe is always enjoyable to see, so the reaction that the finish got was very match earned. The highlight of the match is the finish and overall is a solid match. Death Riders losing is a way to start the night and potentially foreshadow for later. They do a stretcher job to write Samoa Joe off for later, making him unable to come out.” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Samoa Joe by Pinfall via Muscle Buster
Coby Galenzoski and David Sheldon WR Star Rating – 3.5 Stars
AMAZING Men’s Casino Gauntlet:
Fundamentals: 1
Atmosphere: 0.75
Storytelling: 0.75
Psychology: 1
Innovation: 0.75
Personal Quotes:
“This was a long match, clocking in at over half an hour, and while it lacked the major surprises seen in previous Casino matches it nonetheless proved a strong in-house gauntlet showcasing feuds shown on weekly tv. Bandido and Takeshita relived the storm from 24 hours previous, while Alexander, Brody King and The Beast Mortos also provided plenty of highlights. There were some nice surprises in the return of a weirdly shaved Juice Robinson and The Gunn’s which was enjoyable, even if I could’ve done with perhaps one more. The true MVP (ironically) of the match however was MJF who reacted superbly in both physical and emotional performance, even if the primary build to the match between him and Mark Briscoe felt lost. I am hopeful we can build to a singles match.” – David Sheldon
“The biggest thing is this is going to be compared to the year before. The fact that last years had Nigel McGuinness, Ricochet and NJPW’s Zack Sabre Jr. The defining strength from this one is the fact they worked with dynamics built throughout the last while on Television. Working with the two match starters having issues, MJF and Mark Briscoe. Mistico also appearing, a current rival of MJF. Using the Don Callis dynamics with Konosuke Takeshita, Josh Alexander, Roderick Strong and Bandido. There is even some stuff involving Max Caster and Anthony Bowens. The return of Juice Robinson and The Gunns was fun also. Its a very well done match but it didn’t over deliver.” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: MJF by Pinfall via Briscoes Jay Driller on Roderick Strong
Coby Galenzoski and David Sheldon WR Star Rating – 4.25 Stars
GREAT Dustin Rhodes Vs Daniel Garcia Vs Sammy Guevara Vs Kyle Fletcher – AEW TNT Championship:
Fundamentals: 0.75
Atmosphere: 0.75
Storytelling: 0.75
Psychology: 0.75
Innovation: 0.50
Personal Quotes:
“This match, no matter how effective between the ropes, would be almost impossible to traverse given the emotional gutpunch that had occurred just prior. Sending all the best to Adam Cole in his recovery. The decision to pivot from what appeared to be an inevitable Kyle Fletcher crowning into a Dustin Rhodes celebration was needed to get the crowd back on-side, giving a home base victory for Rhodes in Texas. The match was well worked by all 4 guys with nice hints of storytelling throughout, though the match played third fiddle to the pre-match segment and the post-match jubilation.” – David Sheldon
“The biggest hurdle this match had was the unofficial retirement from Adam Cole, the previous TNT Champion. It was a tough battle for the crowd to even be interested in most of the action in the match. Regardless, there aren’t faults in the action itself. There is some tease and some work on the Sammy and Dustin dynamic, both wanting to win but Dustin having more desperation. It ultimately was the right choice for Dustin to get a feel good moment, the pop was worth it. Dustin wins, has a moment in Texas with Sammy celebrating with him. ” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Dustin Rhodes by Pinfall via Small Package on Garcia
Coby Galenzoski and David Sheldon WR Star Rating – 3.50 Stars
PERFECT Young Bucks Vs Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland – If Will/Swerve win, the YB lose their EVP status. If Bucks win, Will and Swerve can’t Match:
Personal Quotes:
“The first of several classic matches on this card, anyone who has ever seen these men work before had sky high expectations of grandeur, and they were granted it and then some. Electrifying sequences, great character moments and impeccable fundamentals, this was the match of the night by miles to this point. The second act sequence of furious kicks and flips is one of the most impressive I can recall, and while some will fairly scoff at the volume of kickouts at the matches conclusion, I never personally felt it went overboard. A match worthy of its hype.” – David Sheldon
“The Young Bucks very much still have it after an odd championship run last year. They deserve the credit each and every time. This was very much enjoyable as a whole. Gradually getting more exciting as a way to build. Swerve and Ospreay having brilliant combos like the swerve and storm breaker combo, along with the eventual finisher. There are great moments, great kickouts and as a whole this was the first match on the show to truly restore the feeling that this was a massive show for AEW. Bell to bell a very special tag team match. ” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Will/Swerve by Pinfall via Hidden Blade and House Call Combo
Coby Galenzoski and David Sheldon WR Star Rating – 5.00 Stars
MUST WATCH Women’s Casino Gauntlet Match:
Fundamentals: 0.75
Atmosphere: 1
Storytelling: 1
Psychology: 0.75
Innovation: 1
Personal Quotes:
“The second outing of the Casino Gauntlet was an improvement over the first, featuring more memorable spots and character dynamics and showcasing the depth of AEW’s women’s roster. Bayne, Statlander and Willow proved a great anchor through the match, while the charisma of Thekla and Julia Hart’s interactions were slightly goosebump inducing. The action around the second in commands early on was a bit scrappy but logical for the narrative. Alex Windsor and Syuri also got terrific showcases here beating each other senseless and demonstrating their natural chemistry. A great match with the perfect winner, as Athena finally feels like she’s got the means and backing to take AEW, and not just ROH, by storm (pun very much intended) ” – David Sheldon
“For the first Women’s Gauntlet to be on a PPV, this delivered greatly. This was enjoyable from bell to bell. There weren’t moments of fluff. Once again using the previously built dynamics, having Penelope Ford, Anna Jay, Harley Cameron, Skye Blue all having moments despite not being official entrants. Thunder Rosa and Athena continuing from where they left off. We also had the surprise factors of the debuting Alex Windsor and Syuri having a cameo in America before her time off. Its a blast of a match that doesn’t have the down points of the match that the mens did. ” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Athena by Pinfall via O Face on Mina Shirakawa
Coby Galenzoski and David Sheldon WR Star Rating – 4.50 Stars
AMAZING The Hurt Syndicate Vs JetSpeed and Christian Cage/Nick Wayne – AEW World Tag Championships:
Fundamentals: 1
Atmosphere: 0.75
Storytelling: 0.75
Psychology: 0.75
Innovation: 0.75
Personal Quotes:
“AEW have a bad habit of, in an effort to get more bang for your buck, making every match a 20 minute long form layout when it doesn’t need to be. This match was an excellent triple threat tag with great action and all 6 guys getting different moments to shine. But, as WWE did with the US title 4 way at Mania 41, it would’ve in my view been far more effective to cut the length in half and hit all those high spots without the dead time between them, keeping the energy as lively as possible heading into the triple main event. This is especially true with the extensive angle afterwards in which Nick Wayne turned on Christian Cage and Cope returned, encouraging Cage to find himself. It was a great angle after a strong match, but for the benefit of the wider show it should’ve been far shorter.” – David Sheldon
“Once again, personally there are no complaints with this match. It was well wrestled, it worked well from all men but there was an underlying fact that this match way too long. This was a clash of styles, Lashley and Shelton being powerhouses. Nick Wayne, Speedball and Kevin Knight all being more athletic and Christian having to be a slower worker just based on his age. There are solid elements and great things but it just felt structurally flawed. ” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Bobby Lashley by Pinfall via Spear on Christian
Coby Galenzoski and David Sheldon WR Star Rating – 4.00 Stars
PERFECT Toni Storm Vs Mercedes Mone – AEW Women’s World Championship:
“This is one of the biggest matches AEW could possibly put on, and the match delivered everything we could have ever hoped for. The perfect blend of Storm’s character work and charisma and Mone’s in ring acumen. Both were able to match each other beautifully and their dynamic was really quite captivating. Storm is such a unique character and Mone’s interaction and stumbling blocks with it were great. Storm winning with a brutal avalanche storm zero was also the right call, giving the title prestige, Storm credibility and Mone a needed mountain to climb. ” – David Sheldon
“As a whole this is a really high quality wrestling match. Storm gets to be herself for the match and to remain timeless within it. Even going back to some of the Lutha joint offense. The crowd were firmly behind Toni and were booing Mercedes. Both got their chants. If there was someone who could believably kick out of the three storm zero piledrivers it was Mone. I am just glad the super storm zero did end it. Shocking decision but they is without a doubt room for a rematch, for Mone to eventually beat her if Athena doesn’t. ” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Toni Storm by Pinfall via Super Piledriver
Coby Galenzoski and David Sheldon WR Star Rating – 5.00 Stars
MUST WATCH Kazuchika Okada Vs Kenny Omega – AEW Unified Championship: AEW All In Texas 2025 Semi Main Event
Fundamentals: 0.75
Atmosphere: 1
Storytelling: 1
Psychology: 1
Innovation: 0.75
Personal Quotes:
“Following their classics in 2017 was always going to be impossible, so I will make efforts to judge this on its own merits. Okada and Omega had a very strong match with good psychology revolving around Omega’s diverticulitis. Okada did a good job gesturing and grandstanding while Kenny displayed terrific selling. The match didn’t need, or rather needed more clearly defined, interference as the Callis factor did not prove as captivating as it could have, and fundamentally the match was not on the level of their previous bouts. It’s very good, you should see it, just remember that time has passed and this is not the match they would have had all those years ago.” – David Sheldon
“I feel this has a similar feel to the 3 way tag. Where it has to go longer than it needs too. This was a 31 minute match and its great. To have Okada Vs Omega in 2025 is special. It’s a well done match, with tremendous psychology of the midsection of Kenny. The crowd was actually very much into it. I feel the ending was a little abrupt but also a logical end. Kazuchika was able to get a rainmaker for the win and that put away Kenny. High quality match but it was always gonna be tough to blow anyone away this many years later.” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Kazuchika Okada by Pinfall via Rainmaker
Coby Galenzoski and David Sheldon WR Star Rating – 4.50 Stars
PERFECT Jon Moxley Vs Hangman Adam Page – AEW World Championship, Texas Death Match: AEW All In Texas 2025 Main Event
Personal Quotes:
“I rarely get emotional after wrestling matches, but I spent so much time after this match in borderline tears dancing around my living room. This match, though not to my personal taste with the blood and gore, did the perfect job of convincing you as much as possible Hangman wouldn’t do it. Stringing your emotions back and forth and playing them with ease. This is Moxley’s best heel performance in years and Hangman’s magnum opus as a face. The appearances were all special with Danielson and Darby’s returns, and I loved the final sell of Moxley writhing in pain while being choked. Not for everyone, but a perfect finale to this months long Death Riders saga.” – David Sheldon
“Everything it needed to be and more. The stipulation was followed, was a guideline, it was a warning for the war that was coming. This was bloody, this was dangerous. Structurally there are comparisons to WM40. Doesn’t stop it from being electric. From Danielson to Darby, to Swerve giving the chain to Hangman. It’s a brilliant way to finish this title reign whether it was the original plan or not.” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Hangman Adam Page by Submission via Chain Hang Over The Rope
Coby Galenzoski and David Sheldon WR Star Rating – 5.00 Stars
