FTR has retained their AAA World Tag Team Championships against the Lucha Brothers at AAA TripleMania Regia 2021.
Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood successfully defended their titles at TripleMania Regia, defeating their opponents the Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix) in a ladder match, with the assistance of their manager, Vickie Guerrero who accompanied them for their trip down to Mexico for the match.
The match ended with Harwood grabbing the titles after Guerrero threw some type of powder into Penta’s eyes, sending the luchador tumbling off the ladder and through a table below him. The two teams had earlier confronted each other, however it ended up leading to a brawl before security separated them.
This is FTR’s second defence of the AAA World Tag Team Championships. Harwood and Wheeler had previously defended the championships on AEW Dynamite, defeating the team of AAA luchador Aero Star and the luchador Samuray Del Sol (Formerly Kalisto in WWE).
No word has been given on when FTR would be returning to Mexico to defend the titles in the future.
