Karrion Kross and his wife Scarlett shocked the WWE Universe when they made their surprising returns on August 5th. Drew McIntyre was having a confrontation with Roman Reigns ahead of their Clash at the Castle match when the couple struck.

Before Drew could enter the ring, Kross’s music played for the first time in almost a year. Kross then caught Drew by surprise and attacked him, repeatedly bashing his head against the ring steps.

He then made his intentions known when Scarlett placed an hourglass before Roman, signifying the end of his reign. They have yet to appear in the ring since then but have appeared in a series of vignettes.

It seems Karrion Kross and Scarlett took bookings before re-signing with WWE, but they have been allowed to complete them. WWE notable allowed the Hardy Boyz to do the same when they returned to the company in 2017.

They had won the Raw tag titles upon their return and were even seen with the belts at independent bookings. Karrion Kross’s last appearance before the August 5th SmackDown was at Ric Flair’s Last Match where he wrestled Harry Smith.

He reported on social media that he will fulfill his obligations, but will not be wrestling. The pair are only allowed to make dates so long as they don’t conflict with their new WWE schedule, though.

Karrion Kross’s Last WWE Run

Karrion Kross’s first run on the WWE main roster is now infamous for its poor presentation. From the start, it was bashed by fans as his first match saw him lose to Jeff Hardy quickly.

Fans hoped WWE would’ve learned from their error as Kross finished his run in NXT, but things only got worse. His entire run was without Scarlett, who has long been integral to his character.

They stript his unique entrance away and dressed him in suspenders and a helmet. The fans were never able to get behind the changes, and Kross would ultimately be released months later.

Now that he’s back it seems that Triple H is keen on rectifying the company’s past handling of Karrion Kross. He is already in a program with top stars Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns and is rumored for a title match.

Matt and Lisa Riddle have become the most recent couple whose marriage has ended. Lisa made an official announcement on social media on Saturday that her divorce from Matt has been finalized for over a month now. However, she also stated that she and her kids are excited about the new journey they are now on before thanking everyone who had supported them. You can see the announcement below.

The separation between Lisa and Matt first became apparent last year in October when the former Mrs. Riddle responded to a post of Matt’s claiming that he had moved away from his kids to Orlando before eventually deleting the post.

Neither party had since responded in regard to what was happening in their marriage until Lisa’s announcement. The two were married for eleven years before the unfortunate split and have three kids together.

Because he has not been in the ring since then, many thought his days in the squared circle were over. He recently revealed at the Father and Son Q&A at FTLOW 2022 that this isn’t the case at all. He fully intends to return to wrestling but has been away working on other ventures.

When asked if he was retired, Bo said: “Absolutely not. I’m the furthest from done with wrestling that you can possibly be. I spent the past year diving into a bunch of different ventures outside of wrestling, but wrestling has never left my heart, not for one second. I just wanted to get a couple of things done before I dive back into something I really cared about. Now that I’ve got everything kind of wrapped up and working on, within the next two to three months, you’ll see me back in the ring somewhere very soon. The love of wrestling has never left me. I’ve always known I was coming back to it soon, but I just needed to get other stuff done. I’ll be back in the ring soon, I promise.” (H/T Fightful.com)

It is currently unknown when fans will see the former B-Team member return to action or if he will sign with a notable promotion. Before his release, he wasn’t seen all that much. He last appeared as part of the B-Team with Curtis Axel, where they briefly associated with The Miz as his bodyguards before breaking off and winning the Raw tag team championships. Aside from that, he wasn’t utilized much at all.

His most notable accolade was as part of NXT’s first-class, where he beat Big E to become NXT Champion. He would go on to become one of the title’s longest-reigning champions before dropping it to Neville (Pac) and receiving his call-up to the main roster.

On the January 10th episode of Raw, RK-Bro lost their Tag Team Titles to Alpha Academy. This ended their 4-plus month reign, being one of the highlights of Raw each week. While a rematch is in order, I believe that not only should RK-Bro not only lose the match but should break up in the immediate future.

The pairing of Riddle and Randy Orton has been a gold mine for WWE, being an extremely entertaining odd couple who have been one of the best things about Raw for the past calendar year. Despite still being quite a hot act with plenty of available options, I think that the best thing is to break up Orton and Riddle.

I believe that the biggest reason to break them up in order to build up Riddle vs Randy Orton at Wrestlemania. Between his US title run and the work he’s done as a part of RK-Bro, Riddle has been elevated to a higher opinion of the fans. His great charisma, character work, and great in-ring work, makes him a prime candidate for a new WWE-main eventer. I believe that Riddle should be a World Champion within the next two years, preferably the end of 2022. The first step is by beating Randy Orton at Wrestlemania.

The story is fairly simple and writes itself. Sometime after the Rumble, Orton gets fed up with Riddle and seeing him as incompetent, turning on him in a moment of frustration. This leads to several months of build, probably including Orton writing Riddle off TV for at least a month. Eventually Riddle returns and sets up the match for Mania. Riddle then proves himself by beating the Viper and proving himself as a top guy.

Beating Randy Orton would be absolutely massive for Riddle and would help propel him into the main event. WWE is in desperate need of new main event talent, and Riddle has been genuinely built for two years with big fan support. Riddle and Orton could be a great feud and turn Riddle into the biggest babyface in the company. While nothing is certain, I believe that Matt Riddle is headed towards great things.
