AEW All In London 2024 brought a far better event than last year. With mostly everything being electric and off the charts. This year had the consistency of a top notch event with 2 five star matches. The rest of the card being 3.50 stars or higher. The atmosphere is without a doubt there for a Wembley crowd. The production was far better this year with a tremendous looking stage, this felt bigger than last year like the looks of it. Everything on the show had a reason to be on the card, no lack of storylines. Surprise appearances from GYV, Ricochet, Jamie Hayter, Nigel McGuinness and Zack Sabre Jr. New champions in Mariah May, PAC/Claudio/Yuta, Bryan Danielson and Will Ospreay. The Young Bucks and Mercedes Mone retaining. Stories involved in the show were either advanced, finished or started.
AEW proved once again they understand the fact that they are here to make moments and create emotional investment, and they succeeded plenty of times throughout the night. Show Structure being the only thing that might have stopped this from joining the 5.00 Star show club for this year.

Fine match, nothing else to really say. It has some fun moments like Lio Rush and Satnam Singh facing off. Kip Sabian got a good reaction and a time to shine. Evil Uno was able to honor Brodie Lee with the papers is a nice moment. This had a relatively good flow to the match, wasn’t that chaotic. Ultimately isn’t anything special though. Dante Martin gets the win for the face team.
Results: Dante Martin by Pinfall via Frog Splash on Ariya Daivari

Fundamentals: 0.75

This is probably the most solid zero hour match with the Kris and Willow combination. After a few weak matches together tagging with/against each other on past Zero Hours. They do very well in building it around Stokely not being a strong guy or a wrestler regardless. Kris and Willow do the bulk before Stokely ends up getting some shots on Ishii. A nice spinebuster and was bumping clean. Willow got a nice pounce and ultimately Ishii pinned Stokely.
Results: Tomohiro Ishii by Pinfall via Sliding Clothesline to Stokely

Definitely the weakest match of the zero hour. There are just a lot of things that aren’t timed nicely. We got to the spot where several guys got their dives. Sammy, Taven, Brian Cage. There is poor flow in this match. Some good sequences and a relatively good crowd but that’s about it. After the match, Kevin Von Erich ends up using the Iron Claw to help the team. Stereo claws as Dustin’s team stands tall.
Results: Dustin Rhodes by Pinfall via Sammy Guevara’s Swanton on Matt Taven

While comparing Ladder matches from AEW, I do prefer the one from Forbidden Door. That doesn’t stop this from being a fun and enjoyable match. A very solid crowd that popped for most of the spots. We saw Christian trying to use Mother Wayne’s hair spray. Christian spending significant time outside of the ring and away from the action fits his character. Everyone gets their high spots like a Wayne’s World off the apron and through a table. Also a tope destroyer through the table. The only thing to complain about is several tables just didn’t break but that is out of their control. Killswitch is getting scalded by Christian at the end as PAC got the belts for his team.
Results: PAC by Championship Retrieval via Un

Ultimately a very strong highlight for me. This match delivered on everything it needed too. With Toni claiming she is prepared to die, Mariah was the one proving she was as she was bleeding. From Mariah slapping her own mother and drop kicking Lutha. She truly got the heat while being the home country star. Toni Storm brought it to her former protege, hitting a storm zero on the steps and another in the ring. Mariah brought it though. Toni Storm was the clear fan favourite as she got, Toni.. Toni Stormmmm, chants. Mina Shirakawa was present but not in a strong role just being in the crowd. Shown very few times. Storm hesitated which gave Mariah the advantage to win.
Results: Mariah May by Pinfall via Storm Zero Piledriver

GREAT Chris Jericho Vs Hook – Last Chance, FTW Championship FTW Rules Match:

The Big Bill chants transferred over. With Jericho doing another Fozzy concert with his crew for the learning tree theme. Hook getting a Taz flatline tease. The match is alright, they work well with Big Bill and Bryan Keith aiding Jericho. Most of the spots didn’t land, only the pool stick Jericho used and accidentally hit Bill with was good. Hook revealed his eye was fine way too late in the match. Taz ended up locking in the Tazzmission on Keith while Hook had the red rum. Fine match with some good enough elements.
Results: Hook by Submission via Red Rum

AMAZING Young Bucks Vs FTR Vs The Acclaimed – AEW World Tag Team Championship Match:

This was a very enjoyable match. With one of the weaker builds, this still delivered. Max got his rap of course and it was decent. The crowd fully heated the Bucks and was cheering for both the Acclaimed and FTR. Moments of sharing each other’s finishers like Max and one of the Bucks doing the EVP trigger. Max and Cash doing a shatter machine. Billy Gunn got a famouser on one of the championship titles. Psychologically it makes no sense why the Bucks are trying to hide some low blows and using the titles. Its a triple threat match, its No DQ.
After the match the Grizzled Young Veterans appear, staring down The Young Bucks before attacking Cash Wheeler.
Results: Young Bucks by Pinfall via EVP Trigger

Nigel McGuinness, Zack Sabre Jr., Kazuchika Okada and Ricochet. This is everything it had to be. Its magical moments and a crazy hot crowd. The structure of the match is a little rocky with unequal intervals that are obvious. This is AEW’s rumble equivalent and its very well done. The Conglomeration have their moments as Mark Briscoe does some dives. Hangman Page and Jeff Jarrett had their issues during the match. Double J is having a great face run right now. Christian Cage showing up in this match was amazing. Killswitch being announced as Luchasaurus was interesting before he helped his papa Christian. Christian wins? Nobody expected it.
Results: Christian Cage by Pinfall via Luchasaurus’ Chokeslam on Kyle O’Reilly (Check This)

PERFECT MJF Vs Will Ospreay – AEW American Championship:
Fundamentals: 1
Atmosphere: 1
Storytelling: 1

Everything you needed in this match. The Aerial Assassin getting an Assassin’s Creed entrance and MJF going ultra American hero. This is an amazing match from bell to bell. With MJF playing the heel, getting the heat by doing a Kangaroo kick again, trying to cheat with the belt. Will Ospreay is so over and he is so great. MJF claiming anyone can do a flip as he did a moonsault to the outside from the apron. Hitting a panama sunrise on the apron, an oscutter on the apron. The Camera man being hit with a hidden blade. The nearfalls are brilliant as the build was all the way to get to the Tiger Driver. Daniel Garcia distracted MJF and Will finally got it. Off the charts match.
Results: Will Ospreay by Pinfall via Tiger Driver

GREAT Mercedes Mone Vs Britt Baker DMD – AEW TBS Championship:
Fundamentals: 0.75
Atmosphere: 0.75
Storytelling: 0.75
Psychology: 0.75
Innovation: 0.75
The tough part about this match is there is solid stuff in it. Britt pulling an Eddie to get Kamille ejected. Good transitions between the locked jaw and some of the gory spots. The counter of the body slam from the top rope was good. Britt got the panama sunrise and stomp combo. There is solid stuff in this match. But the crowd was exhausted after the two matches before. The other thing is the finish felt flat. The Mone Maker still doesn’t look as smooth as it probably should have.
Results: Mercedes Mone by Pinfall via Mone Maker

Cry Me A River chants after Real Glass was brought out. This match while feeling a little underwhelming, it very much does what it needed to do. Darby Allin is willing to take the bumps needed for this. Hitting the coffin with a tope. Being thrown off the stage through tables. The match was built around Jack Perry being willing to go that far to win and he did. Darby in a body bag as Jack closes the casket.
After the match, The Young Bucks and Jack Perry attempt to light the coffin on fire but Sting returns and makes the save. Sting hits a scorpion death drop on the Bucks before helping Darby out.
Results: Jack Perry by Casket Closure via Running Knee

Title Vs Career this match delivers in every way. From the Danielson special of needing the doctors to check on his body, to every single kick out getting a tremendous reaction. Everything about this match is amazing, with this being a very hard hitting match between the two. The crowd was attached to everything Bryan was doing. Tremendous selling, tremendous nearfalls, an amazing atmosphere and everything being perfect in this match.
Results: Bryan Danielson by Submission via Rings Of Saturn / Lebell Lock + Regal Stretch Combo
