The story on and off screen between Hangman Page and CM Punk keeps going.
The last weeks had been full of rumors and confessions about the relationship between CM Punk and AEWs locker room.
One of the biggest is the not-so-good relationship between Hangman and Punk.
According to sources, both wrestlers have a real feud outside the ring and T.V.
With a lot of rosters supporting Hangman’s side, alluding to a big ego on Punk’s part.
Punk called Hangman Page to a rematch
On the August 17 edition of AEW Dynamite Punk went to the ring on a promo segment.
During the promo, Punk called out Hangman Page to a title rematch.
This is an act for his match against Moxley for the AEW world title in the upcoming week.
The speculation went off online with some ensuring that Punk went off script.
According to Punk, personal stuff is not related, his primary goal is to make people eager to see what happens next.
“That’s what I’m here to do, make people want to see what happens next,” Punk says. “I’m trying to sell tickets to the live events. That goes back to me saying Twitter isn’t [the] real world. Twitter is a bunch of people that don’t really care about your opinion. They want to find like-minded opinions that share their worldview. I’m trying to tell stories, sell tickets, and get people to tune in on Dynamite.”
The situation backstage on AEW has been turbulent in the last few days.
And with top company guys on a possible real feud, it only feeds the rumors and speculations about not-so-good management of talent and behavior.
