Wrestling Republic is incredibly saddened to learn that popular Deathmatch Wrestler Markus Crane, real name Jackie Fenney, has passed away at the age of 33 overnight in his home. Markus had been wrestling since 2009 in promotions such as GCW, ICW, No Peace Underground & various other throughout the country, even going a tour of Japan to work with some of the best in companies such as FREEDOMS & BJW.
Unfortunately, Markus was forced to retire in 2019 due to a skull injury. During this time away he was still very actively involved in his Wrestling Community but was fighting his own personal demons. As of 2021, Markus was training for an in ring return and even had 2 very short matches this year, 1 being against Kit Osbourne in GCW & the other teaming with his old partner SHLAK in H2O. Most recently, he had been training the next generation of stars in the H2O Wrestling Center.
Loved by his peers & many more throughout the wrestling world, this was an unexpected death that has shattered the hearts of many this morning. Wrestling Republic sends prayers to his friends & family during this difficult time.
