Wrestlemania 41 Saturday is a mixed bag. The opening match and the main event were placed correctly. They were in the right spots to maximize impact and atmosphere. The rest of the show lacked the Wrestlemania vibe. We had good wrestling, not amazing wrestling. With Tiffany having a shock title win along with Jacob Fatu getting his first title, there are things to look forward too after this show. Jey Uso gets the win and avenges his brother Jimmy. The main event is the biggest talking point with Paul Heyman helping Seth Rollins.
What WWE does well is a year with an assortment of special entrances. Almost every match had one which is fun to think about. The commentary time also plays a good roll in providing importance and excitement for this show. While its a solid show, nothing outside of the main event is something that is truly must see. A solid show without the Wrestlemania vibe for most of it.
WWE Wrestlemania 41 Saturday brings the first night of this year’s Wrestlemania. Gunther Vs Jey Uso with the Royal Rumble winner facing a rival he has never beaten before. War Raiders Vs The New Day once again. El Grande Americano faces a substitute Rey Fenix. Jacob Fatu makes his Mania debut in a United States Championship match. Tiffany Stratton also faces the Women’s rumble winner in Charlotte Flair. Rivals Jade Cargill and Naomi make history in a first time singles match. CM Punk, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns face off in a massive main event.

Wrestlemania started off with one of the best matches of the night. Jey Uso has the crowd in the palm of his hands and Gunther gets his heat. Building off of Jey being ready and not scared of the Ring General anymore. Jey being able to give Gunther everything Gunther was giving to him. Using lariats, a power bomb along with his spear. Gunther reaches the point where he grabs the championship and uses it to strike Jey. Jey kicked out of the splash. After three Uso Splashes, Jey locks in a Sleeper Hold and Gunther taps out to Jey. Very shocking finish with a hot crowd, a great story and flow of the match and great psychology from the two.
Results: Jey Uso by Submission via Sleeper Hold

For a wrestlemania match this is rather dull. The crowd is recovering from Jey and all of the yeeting. There are some fun counters and spots in this match. The wrestling is fine but this is a Wrestlemania match and this was alright. Ivar was able to get some good moments with him setting up bigger spots including his one moonsault. New Day counters the War Machine Clothesline and hits a day breaker. No Big E so it was an uneventful title change.
Results: New Day by Pinfall via DayBreaker On Ivar

AMAZING Jade Cargill Vs Naomi:

This started off a little bit one sided, but Naomi got a great face buster off of the apron. There are fun spots like Jade catching Naomi into a jack hammer. Naomi getting a nearfall off of the split legged moonsault. The crowd were on their feet and fully behind Jade Cargill especially with the great powerbomb and her Jaded. A predictable result but done well, Jade gets her revenge at Wrestlemania.
Results: Jade Cargill by Pinfall via Jaded

From a crowd that absolutely loves LA Knight and was firmly behind him with his rise in the company. This is Jacob Fatu’s time now. The crowd nearly flips. With Fatu winning the fans over more and more. A great handful of nearfalls. A Catching BFT from a moonsault is electric. The pure strengths of this match are it being a purely solid match from bell to bell. With great spots and a satisfying finish by the new champion.
Results: Jacob Fatu by Pinfall via Springboard Moonsault

GREAT El Grande Americano Vs Fenix:

This is a fun match. I feel like thats the repeat saying for this show. There are fun matches but quite a bit of matches not fitting the Wrestlemania vibe. This is one. With Grande’s over the top entrance being actually great. Americano hits a reverse 450 moonsault to a great pop. With the continued gimmick of Americano disrespecting Lucha Libre, he gets his loaded mask once more. So that stops Rey from capitalizing off of the bye amigo kick. An ankle lock is applied but the difference maker is the loaded mask. Catching Fenix with a headbutt mid flight and a diving headbutt for the win.
Results: El Grande Americano by Pinfall via Diving Headbutt

GREAT Tiffany Stratton Vs Charlotte Flair – Women’s Championship: WWE Wrestlemania 41 Saturday Semi Main Event

Atmosphere: 0.75

This is a bit of a weird match. A handful of mistimed spots along with Tiffany getting a tooth injury off of something. The crowd love Tiffy and boo Charlotte while also wooing for the chops. With a couple of deadish moments atmosphere wise. Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair start to target each other’s knees half way into the match but a bit of a lack of focus surrounding the knee. The match has a satisfying ending but it’s anticlimactic. Tiffany winning with one PME seems unheard of.
Results: Tiffany Stratton by Pinfall via PME
Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 3.50 Stars
PERFECT CM Punk Vs Roman Reigns Vs Seth Rollins: WWE Wrestlemania 41 Saturday Main Event
Very very tough to summarize everything that happened. This is one of the reasons to watch this show. Punk, Roman and Seth have an electric main event. Enrouted in storytelling and psychology. Amazing sequences that not many thought were possible. Paul Heyman ends up turning on both Roman and Punk before letting Seth use a chair to win the match. There are too many amazing things to say. What a match, what an ending.
Results: Seth Rollins by Pinfall via Stomp on Roman Reigns
Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 5.00 Stars
