According to PWInsider, there is internal concern within WWE that the anticipated rematch from WrestleMania between Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks may not take place at this Saturday’s SummerSlam in Las Vegas.
Both Banks and Belair missed the WWE Supershow House Shows in Charlotte, N.C. and Columbia, S.C. due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
As mentioned in PWInsider, several WWE sources have expressed concern over the match for the Smackdown Women’s Championship not happening.
It should be noted that this does not mean that anything is official on cancellation or delay of the match, just internal concern from WWE.
Belair and Banks held their contract signing this past Friday on Smackdown. The signing saw Banks bring out Carmella and Zelina Vega to attack Belair.
The segment would end with Belair fighting the two off but with Banks making Belair tap on the contract signing table.
As a note, both Carmella and Vega also did not work the live events. Indications from social media found that Banks and Vega were out and about while Belair was hanging out with family and working on ring gear, presumably for SummerSlam.
