Tommaso Ciampa has not been seen on screen in a few months, and has been reported Ciampa will likely be out for the rest of the year.
Ciampa was at the top of the chain in NXT before being brought up to the main roster. Vince McMahon gave him a big push shortly after Wrestlemania 38, but then it suddenly stopped. Triple H has renewed that push after being named the Head of Creative.
He was best known for being tag team partners with Johnny Gargano, DIY, and bitter rival of Gargano.
Before disappearing from television Tommaso Ciampa was seen helping the Miz escape from Dexter Lumis on Monday Night Raw.
The last time he was in action was at a WWE Live event facing Bobby Lashley.
With the sudden disappearance of Ciampa fans began to worry. The story line said Dexter Lumis kidnapped the Miz’s protage.
Then Johnny Gargano challenged the opinion stating he was out with an injury.
A few days later Ciampa confirmed he is out due to an injury to his hip labrum. Ciampa made a post on Instagram, about undergoing this surgery on his hip labrum. He believes the tear was also causing his back and glute pain.
Pwinsider reported “In asking around, we are told he isn’t expected back until next year.”
Ciampa stated in the caption “The road to recovery begins” and there is no timeline to when his return will be. Meaning it will probably be some time before we see his return to WWE in ring action.
