Smackdown

“Probably the most consistent show besides the highly underrated Impact Wrestling show. What puts SD over the top for me is again the biggest draw in the business with the Bloodline and the Sami Zayn inclusion in the pure entertainment standpoint. “ – Anthony Ricciardi (Head Of Opinions)
“SmackDown has been the most interesting WWE show for a few years now. The Blue Brand has developed a good show in terms of a solid roster, interesting and catchy storylines, enjoyable matches and a great TV time as well. “ – Tomas Gramajo (News Writer)
“Great wrestling with great stories.” – Dakota Mayes (News Writer)
“Explanation is simple; The Bloodline. The Bloodline is the longest run current storyline in wrestling and has been the hottest storyline the past 2 1/2 years. The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, The Usos, and Solo Sikoa along with Paul Heyman all know their roles and perform them well. “ – Ignacio Pinalez (Opinion Writer & Take It To The Table Guest)
“SmackDown It has been the show of the year because it is concrete, the stories are relevant and they develop in a good way. In addition, the roster they have is great.” – Gabriela Boteo (News Writer)
“WWE SmackDown is episodic TV show of the year. WWE has had consistent solid weekly cards and great character development.” – Mark Mumby (News & Scouting Showcase Writer)
“The bloodline storyline made WWE Smackdown worth watching this year.” – Savannah Gall (Head Of Scouting Showcase & News Writer)
“You got the bloodline being the bloodline where Roman Reigns appearing on the product is truly a draw and something to see. Smackdown saw a resurgence through the year with a lot more delivering on the product and Gunther being Gunther, and Sheamus having a career resurgence. The only thing that has lacked is the smackdown women’s division.” – Coby Galenzoski (Head of Reviews & Co Host of Republic Ramble)
AEW Dynamite:

“For me, AEW Dynamite was the most consistently entertaining episodic show week to week. This was almost a no brainer.” – Clark Taylor (Reviewer & Republic Ramble Co Host)
“Wrestling at its most basic level is a form of entertainment. With this in mind, AEW Dynamite is without a doubt the best weekly show out there. Providing high-quality matches and moments on a regular basis.” -Matt Cookson (Review Writer)
“It’s Wednesday and you know what that means. These words are the introduction to the most fun, energetic and truly entertaining, wrestling show on TV right now. AEW Dynamite has put on truly fun matches with Bryan vs Hangman, CM Punk vs MJF, Adam Cole vs Hangman in a Texas Death Match and so much more. Dynamite in its two hour slot on TBS, makes wrestling fun and enjoyable to view. Each member on Dynamite, from the commentary team, the referees and backstage interviewers, have personalities and feel human. All part of the machine, to help Dynamite feel personal to the viewer.” – Soul (Host of Soul Sessions & Regular Guest on Take It To The Table)
“Despite the drama that has unfolded backstage in AEW in recent time, Dynamite has incredible matches every week and has seen some of the best promos of all time take place.” – Olivia Quinlan (Head Of News)
“While to me AEW Dynamite is often too fast paced and isn’t helped by Tony Khan overhyping nearly every episode, it has been the most consistent TV Show in 2022. If Triple H had been in charge since the start of the year, it’s possible the award could have gone to SmackDown, but taking into account the first 5 months of SmackDown, Dynamite has to take the award for me. “ – Ben Allison (Owner Of Wrestling Republic and Graphic Artist)
“Dynamite had the most consistency this year with the amount of times they’ve had theue backs against the wall with injuries, backstage fights but in turn we’ve gotten great matches in tournaments. Memorable promos from MJF/Regal/Starks/Punk. Awesome match types. Rarely been a dull moment. Can’t wait for 2023! “ – Chaos (Host of Take It To The Table)
WWE Raw:

“With Vince out of office, HHH’s WWE is delivering with some actual good storytelling and having some talent come back to the company, this shows growth in the WWE and what’s set to come in the future. “ – Suki (Japanese News Writer & Lions Of The Republic Co-host)
“WWE Raw had its ups and downs this year. But I do think overall it was the best episodic TV Show of the year, especially once Triple H took over creative control. The storylines have improved and the wrestling has been great. Although the three hour length stops it from being the perfect show. “ – Archie Carter (News & Opinion Writer)
Impact Wrestling:

“Once again, I’ve gone for consistency here. Impact may have had some ups and downs. But at last, Impact was consistent in putting on an enjoyable and watchable show. Impact’s year consists of good storylines and character work, with new talent being built up and featured. What more can you want? Oh yes, regular top-tier matches! “ – Ben Wagner (Opinion Writer & Lions Of The Republic Co-Host)
