This was a good episode of SmackDown. In what may be his final match, Edge and Sheamus had a fantastic match. After the cameras went off, Edge told the crowd he was still deciding his future. The lowlight of the show was the Street Profits vs the OC. decent match but not a ton of storytelling.
Edge vs Sgeamus was amazing but none of the other matches reached the level of great. The show structure was very good but not a lot of promos made for an uneven lineup. The atmosphere was great at times but not all throughout. A few storylines were advanced but nothing amazing. Production was good but no theme to the show.
On tonight’s episode of SmackDown: as we celebrate Edge’s 25 years in WWE, the Rated R Superstar takes on Sheamus for the first time ever. Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar appear on the Grayson Waller Effect. And Damage Control faces off against Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair.
GOOD US Champion Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar on the Grayson Waller Effect:
Waller went to the jealousy card to stir up conflict between Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar. The braggadocious Aussie accused Mysterio of stealing Escobar’s moment, especially since Santos Escobar defeated Rey to get to the finals. Austin Theory came to the ring, accused Rey Mysterio of screwing him out of the title, and demanded Adam Pearce return the US Championship to him. The last part of the segment came with LA Knight coming to challenge Theory to a match. The winner gets a shot at the US Championship.

Tribute videos were shown throughout the night as superstars congratulated Edge on 25 years with the company.
GOOD LA Knight vs Austin Theory:
The Miz was on commentary and spent the whole match chirping LA Knight. Eventually, the megastar grew tired of it and threw his opponent into the Miz. This was crucial to the outcome of the match, as the Miz distracted Knight again as he was gearing up for an elbow drop. LA Knight was so focused on the Miz that Theory was able to roll up Knight for the win.
Results: Austin Theory by Pinfall via Rollup

GOOD Iyo Sky and Bayley (w/Dakota Kai) vs Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair:
Charlotte Flair displayed her impressive athleticism when she backflipped onto her opponents from the ring apron. An interesting moment came when Sky turned a high-flying move into a cross-face submission attempt. Flair later took a big bump when Bayley pushed her off the turnbuckle and landed outside the ring. Off a hot tag, Bianca Belair pinned Bayley after hitting a KOD.

Backstage, Damage Control attacked Bianca Belair and seemingly injured her leg.
GOOD the Street Profits vs the OC (w/Michin):
The Street Profits were in control early on, landing a Frog Splash from Montez Ford but Luke Gallows broke up the pin attempt. Later in the match, the OC looked for the Magic Killer on Angelo Dawkins but Dawkins broke out of it. In the finish, the Street Profits won the match off a combo powerbomb-neck breaker.
Results: the Street Profits by Pinfall

Paul Heyman had no patience for discussing rumors with Kayla Braxton but he did say that Jimmy Uso will be on SmackDown next week.
AMAZING Sheamus vs Edge:
Edge looked emotional walking to the ring and his wife, Beth Phoenix, was in tears as he walked past her and their kids at ringside. Edge showed off some new stuff, with a springboard elbow and a powerbomb outside the ring. Later in the match, Edge speared Sheamus through the middle rope and onto the ground. Following up on this, Edge put Sheamus in a cross-face submission but the Celtic Warrior eventually got a rope break. Then, Edge hit a superplex and then an Edgecution but Sheamus again kicked out. Sheamus followed up with some hard offense of his own: White Noise off the turnbuckle followed up by a Celtic Cross. Even a knee and a Brogue Kick couldn’t put Edge away. Finally, after two spears, Edge scored the win. If this was his final match, what a way to go out.
Results: Edge by Pinfall via Spear
