WWE Smackdown March 28 2025 Review

WWE Smackdown March 28 2025 brings the last European Smackdown on the road to Wrestlemania. With LA Knight defending the championship against Braun Strowman. Hometown stars Pretty Deadly get their championship shot against the Street Profits. Cody Rhodes is set to appear. The contract is signed for Wrestlemania between three of the top stars in WWE, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and CM Punk. And much more.

GREAT Cody Rhodes Promo: WWE Smackdown March 28 2025 opening promo

This is a basic promo with Cody Rhodes having an electric crowd ovation. Nothing much is said before Randy Orton comes out. Randy gets the same ovation, crowd singing his song for his entrance and even after his theme is turned off. The Cody Cody Rhodes chants continue with Randy Orton praising Cody. Orton would admit to Cody that sooner or later he is coming for #15.

Drew Mcintyre was next and he had an equivalent reaction from the crowd. Talking about how he wants to be next, how he should have been facing Cody. Balming Temu Undertaker Damian Priest. Cody would attack Drew first before Randy tried an RKO. Drew countered and left the ring and Randy and Cody stood tall.

GREAT Street Profits Vs Pretty Deadly – WWE Tag Team Championship: WWE Smackdown March 28 2025 match of the night.

Easily the strongest match on this show. While it is still short, The champs make the challengers look really good. With Pretty Deadly getting their moments to shine, including hitting their high-low attack to both men. Kit Wilson takes a frog splash as the illegal man to almost sneak a crucifix pin with Ford’s momentum. They get a nearfall before Dawkins counters the slingshot codebreaker. The Street Profits win with a doomsday block buster.

Results: Street Profits by Pinfall via Doomsday BlockBuster on Kit Wilson

ABOVE AVERAGE Secret Hervice with Chelsea Green Vs Katana Chance and Kayden Carter:

This is just not a good match. The best bits were with the champion Chelsea Green. Kayden nearly kicking her. There is an if you hate tottenham stand up chant. A sloppy match that really only gives The Secret Hervice a victory. Zelina Vega attempts to make the save but the numbers game cause her to be laid out.

Results: Piper Niven by Pinfall via Piper Driver on Kayden

Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 2.50 Stars

GOOD LA Knight Vs Braun Strowman – WWE United States Championship:

LA Knight is working the little guy role here. Its a fun match with a hot crowd. Jacob Fatu ruins the Strowman express to a great reaction. Fatu ends up laying out both Knight and Strowman as the crowd are there for him.

Results: Braun Strowman by DQ via Jacob Fatu Interference

Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 3.00 Stars

GOOD Charlotte Flair Vs Michin:

Naomi attacks Michin and B Fab before the match. Michin is working from below as she is hurt from Naomi’s assault. The little Charlotte and Jade tease was fun too. Michin does great work psychologically with the crowd truly hating Charlotte. Both F*ck you Charlotte and We Want Tiffy chants happened but nothing else eventful took place in this match. Tiffany’s backstage promo after the win was her best work in this feud.

Results: Charlotte Flair by Submission via Figure 8

Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 3.00 Stars

GOOD Drew McIntyre Vs Randy Orton:

This is once again a very short match. With Randy Orton and Drew having a basic match. A very hot crowd. Randy Orton is distracted by Kevin Owens allowing Drew to pick up the win.

Results: Drew McIntyre by Pinfall via Claymore

Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 3.25 Stars

ABOVE AVERAGE Jimmy Uso Vs The Miz: WWE Smackdown March 28 2025 main event

The crowd was there for Big Jim. This is another whatever match. Worked fine but it was a match to get Jimmy a win before next week.

Results: Jimmy Uso by Pinfall via Uso Splash

Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 2.75 Stars

MUST WATCH Contract Signing For Roman, Seth and Punk: WWE Smackdown March 28 2025 last segment.

Roman Reigns enjoys the electric atmosphere with the crowd singing for him. Even Paul Heyman having a little karaoke joining the fans. Roman easily signed the contract before Seth would come out. Seth said a bit of the same stuff with how Roman could have pummeled Punk at Survivor Series. Or let him pummel and end Punk in MSG. Seth signs in.

Punk arrives and says the piper line of being all out of bubble gum. Doing the due diligence that he promised he would do on Raw. Reading the contract before Heyman was directed by Roman to inform him that this was the Wrestlemania Saturday Main Event. Punk getting you deserve it chants while Seth was disgusted. Nick Aldis calling it the Biggest Triple Threat match in history was interesting also. Roman thinks the main event was Heyman’s favor but Punk ends the promo with a cliffhanger by saying it wasn’t. Heyman’s emotions were great here.

WWE Smackdown March 28 2025 Overall Summary…

WWE Smackdown March 28 2025 brings the last Smackdown from Europe. From a wrestling standpoint this was an odd show with Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre being a shortish match that wasn’t anything to sink your teeth into. Another midcard defense with a DQ ending. A Jimmy Uso victory before he faces Gunther on Raw and The Street Profits beating Pretty Deadly and their chances of being involved at Wrestlemania in truly the only match to go out of your way to see.

The meat and potatoes of this show are the promos and angles. Tiffany Stratton’s best promo in this Charlotte feud. Damian Priest hitting a South of Heaven on the windshield of a car. Jacob Fatu clearly drew lines in his “bloodline” alliance with Solo and Tama Tonga. Kevin Owens escaped the punt kick once again. Naomi’s electric promo package which does deserve a mention. And a contract signing with a cliffhanger that Paul Heyman was not fond of.
