WWE Smackdown March 21 2025 Review

WWE Smackdown March 21 continues its European detour on the Road to Wrestlemania. With a return to TV for Italy. With A SNME rematch in Strowman Vs Jacob Fatu. Zelina Vega trying to start her quest to get to Chelsea Green as she faces Piper Niven. Jade Cargill returning to action against tag champion Liv Morgan. After the Rumble, the elimination chamber, and what happened in Madison Square Garden, Roman Reigns, CM Punk and Seth Rollins all are under one roof.

MUST WATCH Randy Orton and Kevin Owens Promo: WWE Smackdown March 21 2025 Opening Promo

Kevin Owens comes out right after Randy was about to say his first word. Kevin attempts to apologize to Randy Orton. Claiming that Cody and Sami both deserved the attack not him. Trying to say that he and Randy should go for the tag team championships at Wrestlemania. Randy is tickled at Kevin apologizing but says no. He claims that Kevin isn’t fight owens fight anymore and that he is now B*tch Owens B*tch. Randy says that at Wrestlemania he is going to kick Kevin’s head off and a match is made for them.

GREAT Damian Priest and Jimmy Uso Vs Drew McIntyre and Shinsuke Nakamura:

A fun match with a clear atmosphere boost. With the crowd enjoying everyone in this match. Its a standard match that has good moments. Working with both Priest and McIntyre’s feud, and Shinsuke/Jimmy’s smaller issues. Damian gets the win but is jumped and attacked again. Drew truly beat down Damian in the ring, including hitting another big claymore without counting down himself but the crowd doing it for him.

Results: Damian Priest by Pinfall via South of Heaven On Damian Priest

GOOD Braun Strowman Vs Jacob Fatu – US Championship Contendership:

This is an alright match. The atmosphere definitely boosts a typical match higher also. This isn’t as hard hitting as the SNME. Braun and Jacob had to go a little slow, and had a slow build, with some rest holds. Tama Tonga attempts to interfere but is lifted by Braun but Solo gets the DQ done. Clearly being used as a way to drive a wedge between Jacob and Solo, Strowman gets the match with LA Knight. Knight makes the save for Braun as the trio attempt to beat him down with a reluctant/ticked Fatu.

Results: Braun Strowman by DQ via Solo Sikoa Interference

ABOVE AVERAGE Piper Niven with Alba Fyre and Chelsea Green Vs Zelina Vega:

Another obvious atmospheric boost here. With the crowd primarily chanting for Chelsea throughout the majority of the match. This is a match that did not need to go 12 minutes. It was slow and nothing really happened. Chelsea attempted to get heat but got cheers. The numbers game of Chelsea’s Hervice end up being too much for Zelina Vega, which is a result that makes sense but kinda kills the Vega story.

Results: Piper Niven by Pinfall via Running Crossbody

GREAT Liv Morgan with Raquel Rodriguez Vs Jade Cargill:

Holy crap was Liv Morgan beloved in Italy. This crowd was a massive pro Liv crowd and from what she has done this year alone she deserves it. Liv is tremendous at her job with her psychology, selling for the stronger Jade Cargill. With Naomi ringside, business picks up as Naomi uses the tag title to hit Jade, aiding Liv Morgan to pin her after an Oblivion. Liv Morgan becomes the first person to pin Jade Cargill in WWE. That is a statement.

Naomi would attack and beat down Jade, pushing her off the apron and onto the barricade. Drinking in the boos and mocking Jade by doing her flexing taunt.

Results: Liv Morgan by Pinfall via Oblivion

GREAT The Street Profits Promo:

Aside from the heel theme being used for the first entrance for the new champs. Boy the Profits are very over. If Jey was on the show, Montez was the only one who could possibly rival how the crowd are active with him. The Profits admit to how things were changing, second guessing each other as they had to fight back to get the titles after four years.

Santos and Los Garza come out and talks about getting their chance at the champions. Saying that Los Garza were blamed for being attacked by Pretty Deadly and never got their apology. Pretty Deadly appear and remind both teams of being next, Santos wants them to stay out of it. Pretty Deadly get their show next week, while Los Garza get a non title match tonight.

GREAT The Street Profits Vs Los Garza: WWE Smackdown March 21 2025 Main Event

This is probably the best match of the night. Its a fun tag match, but nothing groundbreaking. Santos rocks the “feeling it” and “going through emotions” vibe as his outfit is being destroyed and worn throughout the match. Los Garza get their chance to control the champs. Montez counters the double slam off of the top by landing on his feet in an incredibly memeable moment. After Angelo and Montez both dive to the outside, Montez is able to win with his frog splash.

Results: Montez Ford by Pinfall via Frog Splash

AMAZING Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and CM Punk Promo: WWE Smackdown March 21 2025 Last Segment

Roman Reigns would reveal that he felt betrayed by CM Punk, and that Seth tried to kill him at the Rumble. So he cost Punk the cage match, and tried to kill Seth in MSG. Roman says he has more time and wants the people that have issues with the OTC to come out. Seth comes out first and talks about how their careers are intertwined. Saying that Roman should’ve let him end CM Punk when he had the chance.

Punk would come out and stand on the turnbuckle to show that he was going to jump when the time was right. Punk’s stuff here is great about how he helped Roman with his family, the rumble being every man for himself. Hinting at Heyman’s favour, before saying thanks for delivering Roman on a silver platter. Confused Roman looks to Paul but is attacked by Punk. All three men brawl with security and producers separating them, with each getting a moment to point to the Wrestlemania sign to say that’s where they want to fight. The show ends with the brawl still happening.

WWE Smackdown March 21 2025 Overall Summary…

WWE Smackdown March 21 2025 proves the atmospheric boost that European Crowds clearly give, doesn’t always correlate to a compelling show. This show was filled with a lot of filler matches. With Piper Niven getting the win on Zelina. Strowman and Jacob fighting to get to a DQ. Damian Priest pinning Shinsuke Nakamura in a tag match. And The Street Profits beating Los Garza. While the Profits tag match was fun, it was still pretty filler.

Jade Cargill gets pinned by Liv Morgan with Naomi costing her and attacking and laying her out again. Randy Orton and Kevin Owens set up their Wrestlemania match. Drew McIntyre continues to beat down Damian Priest, making a statement. Charlotte Flair destroys Tiffany in their interview. Roman, Punk and Seth all prove they want to target each other but also they want to face off at Wrestlemania. There’s some solid progression and a strong crowd but that’s the best parts for this show.
