WWE Smackdown March 14 2025

WWE Smackdown March 14 2025 is a very enjoyable and fun show from the first Road to Wrestlemania European event. With a handful of fun matches including the opening six man tag, Randy Orton Vs Carmelo Hayes. The Street Profits Vs DIY and a surprise match that truly delivered Gunther Vs Axiom. Progression to set up several segments like the Cena and Cody one for Raw and Roman’s first promo this year for next Smackdown. We also had an explanation for Drew and Damian which was nearly a year in the making, and that heated up with Drew McIntyre attacking Damian and beating him down. Tiffany Stratton finally getting a lick back and being able to brawl with Charlotte, not fully working with Charlotte missing both big dives and just falling for the spot.

WWE Smackdown March 14 2024 brings a first ever weekly show to Barcelona Spain. With Cody Rhodes joining the Miz for Miz TV. Charlotte Flair’s return to singles action against B Fab. The Street Profits finally get their chance to win the tag team championships against DIY. Randy Orton is also set to compete for the first time since Kevin Owens’ laid him out, against Carmelo Hayes.

GREAT LA Knight Promo: WWE Smackdown March 14 2025 Opening Promo

LA Knight gets a monster pop with the Spain crowd being absolutely electric. This is a rather nothing promo with LA Knight trying to comment about making history. It seemed like he was trying to hint that a historic open challenge would take place but nothing went done. Jimmy Uso would interrupt him and admit to feelings of desperation. Uso knew his chances of going to mania were becoming slim. Wanting to win the United States Championship, but botching the name saying US tag titles. Solo Sikoa’s theme hits and interrupts Big Jim and Knight.

The former tribal chief, Solo would then talk about who deserves a shot at the United States championship, referring to Jacob Fatu. Solo, Jacob and Tama would make their way to the ring. Sikoa would also call Jimmy the biggest failure of the family. Jimmy would take a shot back saying Solo was for losing to Roman in Tribal Combat. Physicality isn’t avoidable as all five men start to brawl, Tama hitting his stalling DDT. Braun Strowman made the save with Solo and co on the outside of the ring. Nick Aldis makes this a six man tag match.

GREAT Braun Strowman, Jimmy Uso and LA Knight Vs Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu: WWE Smackdown March 14 2025 First Match

It’s a hot crowd, whether they were chanting for Jimmy Uso, LA Knight, or Braun Strowman. Solo had his heat for controlling the pace and working down Jim and Knight in separate phases of the match. The crowd were doing both Tama and Jacob’s meme-able lines, the yeyeyeyeye and the I Love You Solo. It’s all good fun. The match starts to fizzle out with Braun getting the hot tag and hitting the express. LA Knight sent Solo into the crowd and went after him as Strowman got the win. Jacob recovered and superkicked Jimmy before attacking Braun Strowman. Hitting an assortment of moves like several springboard moonsaults. Tama and Jacob were leaving but Fatu had second thoughts and ran back to the ring and sent Braun through the barricade.

Results: Braun Strowman by Pinfall via Powerslam To Tama Tonga

ABOVE AVERAGE B Fab Vs Charlotte Flair:

The strongest part of this match was both the crowd absolutely booing Charlotte Flair and her drinking it in. B Fab does get some moments including her solid looking pump kick. She could match up with Charlotte in size, but thats about it. Charlotte controls the pacing but its a fine match. Nothing must see. The finish is nicely done with the figure 8 and Charlotte not wanting to break the hold. That brings out Tiffany Stratton getting by far a better reaction than the rumble winner.

Tiffany and Charlotte have a pull apart brawl that could have been better if you could tell who was who. Both wore a similar colored outfit and made it harder to say who was who in the chaos. The security and producers try to pull them apart. Two Tiffany dives which should be big spots are somewhat ruined by the fact that Charlotte didn’t take either and just fell because of the type of spot they did. The crowd truly loves Tiffany Stratton and they have to go with that.

Results: Charlotte Flair by Submission via Figure 8

GREAT Miz TV with Cody Rhodes:

While the second dive for Charlotte and Tiffany occurred after Miz’s introduction, this is still a short segment. He announces Cody to come out but stops the woah on the turnbuckle. Miz claims he is going to ask the hard hitting questions but Cody just attacks him and lays him out. Cody says the only person he wants to talk too and hear from is John Cena. Setting up their first face to face promo on Raw.

GOOD Damian Priest Vs Shinsuke Nakamura:

This was fun for what it had to be. Shinsuke being used without the title seems so odd since the big issue with his reign was him not doing anything. Damian and Shinsuke trade strikes with the crowd cheering both men in the match. After Drew’s great video earlier in the show, he appears at the announce table to distract Damian. Drew attacked Damian ending the match. Shinsuke aided the Scottish psychopath with a Kinshasa to Priest. Drew had a lengthy attack that had the crowd chanting CM Punk and for Drew. McIntyre left the ring and Damian still was getting up so Drew hit him clean with a claymore to stand tall.

Results: Damian Priest by DQ via Drew McIntyre Interference

GREAT Randy Orton Vs Carmelo Hayes:

This was a very well done match. With a crowd firmly behind Randy Orton, Carmelo got some heat. There are some great sequences and spots in this match. Orton caught Carmelo with a scoop slam off of his springboard. Some fun sequences regarding first 48’s and RKO counters. The finish was fun with Randy shrugging up a first 48 and getting an RKO for the win.

Randy tries to respect Melo with a handshake but Melo shrugs him off and gets hit with an RKO. The crowd chanted for one more but Randy was set to give him a punt. KO would pull Melo out of the ring and then Randy goes after him. Randy and KO get physical but KO is able to escape through the crowd with Randy holding his back.

Results: Randy Orton by Pinfall via RKO

GREAT Gunther Promo:

Gunther talks about being the greatest European wrestler in the world, which is a very possible result. He would mention proving it against one of Spain’s stars. Specifically mentioning “A Kid” which is Axiom. Axiom actually comes out and we are getting Gunther/Walter Vs A-Kid/Axiom 2 in WWE televised before Gunther Vs Dragonuv. Wow. Axiom gets a great reaction for a home country appearance.

MUST WATCH Axiom Vs Gunther: WWE Smackdown March 14 2025 Standout Shock Match

What do you expect from these two? Two of WWE’s best wrestlers. Axiom who is both athletic but also way more technically capable than Gunther. Gunther has the power and the striking. This is hard hitting, with Axiom bumping for Gunther with a lariat, the dropkick and the powerbombs. Axiom looks great in defeat with the World Heavyweight Champion even getting a near fall after the golden ratio. This is a star making performance but not sure where the momentum could go for Axiom. It better not be Nathan’s way to get mad at him after how many times he got singles opportunities.

Results: Gunther by Pinfall via Powerbomb

GOOD Paul Heyman Promo:

Product placement. When 2k25 is officially dropping this day, Paul Heyman is the one to tell you to go buy and play the game because Roman is on it. He then ruins the fun for the Barcelona crowd for Roman not being there. They were chanting OTC several times throughout the night. Paul would then set up next Friday the night where Roman is on and people with a problem with him can intervene.

MUST WATCH DIY Vs Street Profits – Tag Team Championships: WWE Smackdown March 14 2025 Main Event

This is a really good and fun tag match. With DIY playing the slimy heel role. Street Profits despite being newly aggressive and heelish are the firm faces in this match. Montez and Angelo look great in their first real match back after several write offs. DIY hitting the shattering machine is always lovely to see. DIY nearly countering the doomsday block buster showed great strength from Angelo as Montez took care of Ciampa. The near falls are done very well in this match, with Gargano connecting with a superkick to Ciampa.

Results: Montez Ford by Pinfall via Frog Splash
