GREAT Cody Rhodes Interview: WWE Smackdown January 24 2025 Opening Promo
Cody does what he normally does, acknowledges the history of the place. Being in Austin where his father was born. He is asked a couple basic questions from Joe Tess but nothing really goes past the basics. Cody still does it well and his delivery is sound but it doesn’t say much of anything we don’t already know.

GREAT MCMG Vs Pretty Deadly: WWE Smackdown January 24 2025 First Match
Pretty Deadly was put in this spot because they failed last week. MCMG have every reason to want to face and beat the Brits. With Pretty Deadly showing some aggression and giving MCMG a bit of a challenge in the match. They get a handful of their spots like the bad apple code breaker, A Half nelson assisted diving bulldog, and they were getting reactions from their offense. MCMG made the comeback and got the win with Skull and Bones after a handful of great sequences.
Results: MCMG By Pinfall via Skull and Bones

AMAZING Kevin Owens Promo:
Kevin barges onto the scene through the crowd, made at Joe Tess for not interviewing him as well. Talking about missing Michael Cole while Cole is too busy worrying about McAfee. He also targets Matthew McConaughey in the crowd behind them. By the end of it, Jimmy Uso comes out and says he talks too much. Jimmy and Kevin get into a brawl that is pulled apart. Seemingly a match for later in this show.

SQUASH Michin and B Fab Vs Piper Niven and Chelsea Green:
Michin gets the win with Eat Defeat. Yes, another result to set up another Michin and Chelsea match. B Fab still looks green but has a good presentation.

GREAT Tiffany Stratton Promo:
Tiffany address the Royal Rumble as if it was 30 Women trying to compete to face her. Not worried on who could win. Rhea Ripley appears and says she was champion too. There was a clear dynamic between the two. We gets the basic, I am entering the rumble from Nia, Naomi/Bianca, and Liv Morgan. Rhea shut’s Liv up with a headbutt.

GREAT Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair and Naomi Vs Nia Jax, Candice LeRae and Liv Morgan:
Once again this is a well wrestled match that focuses and builds around the heel’s controlling the faces. Nia and Liv knocking the non legal stars off of the apron in their corners. Building towards Mami’s hot tag. There is a great sequence and hot tag for Rhea and Bianca gets tagged. Liv and Bianca are legal while everyone gets their shots, a Kiss Of Death onto LeRae but Liv rolls Belair up.
Results: Liv Morgan by Pinfall via Crucifix Roll Up On Bianca

GREAT Jimmy Uso Vs Kevin Owens: WWE Smackdown January 24 2025 Main Event
Jimmy is attacked by Hayes in his entrance before going for the match with KO. KO wearing a Naomi shirt to the match. Its a fun and good match that ultimately sees Kevin stop a Uso splash by getting on the apron. He throws Jimmy shoulder first into the post before hitting the pop up powerbomb. He goes to piledriver Jimmy on the table but Cody makes the save. SD ends with a brawl between Cody and Kevin.
