WWE Smackdown February 28 2025 is a loaded show. With two focuses, both for the Elimination Chamber PLE and the United States championship. With a one night mini tournament, LA Knight retains the right to face Shinsuke Nakamura beating Santos Escobar, Carmelo Hayes and Jacob Fatu. The tag division is heating up with DIY, Pretty Deadly, Street Profits, Los Garza, MCMG. Nia and Candice retreat as Tiffy and Trish gain momentum for tomorrow. Roxanne and Alexa Bliss both get momentum also, Roxanne after pinning Bayley and Bliss after laying out Perez.
Brilliant promos from the Mens chamber participants. With everyone aside from John Cena turning up the heat providing a star studded but unpredictable chamber. Kevin and Sami establish that there are no more words that should be said. The Rock delivers a colder line saying that he doesn’t want Cody to break his heart the same way Dusty’s passing did. The Rock was much better in the video format as things get interesting for Cody.
WWE Smackdown February 28 2025 brings the go home show to a very unpredictable Elimination Chamber. A one night mini tournament is set to guarantee a number one contender for the United States Championship. With three singles matches with all winners going to the triple threat main event. Cody Rhodes speaks with Michael Cole 24 hours before he has a meeting with The Rock. Hometown star Trish Stratus returns to Toronto alongside Tiffany Stratton, her partner for the upcoming tag team match.

Trish starts the promo just being thankful for being there. Kinda having a fun moment as she got the Thank You Trish chants. This is Trish in a face role compared to her last run. She addresses it being wild as it’s her 25th anniversary. The Rock is still in the mix and Lilian Garcia is back / introducing her. Even talking about someone in the crowd having a poster of her many years ago.
She introduces Tiffany and they go on about it being Trishy and Tiffy Time. Both of them doing the Trish point to the crowd along with pointing to the watch. The two of them then take off their custom Toronto Maple Leafs jerseys into the crowd. Chelsea Green would come out with Piper Niven dressed as a mountie. Green would go about the two of them taking up TV time. Saying it was hers. Tiffany challenges Chelsea to a match before Trish Stratus interjects with saying if Nick Aldis thought the match was a good idea that he should send a referee out. Chelsea tried to say don’t but Nick Aldis did in fact send a ref.

SQUASH Tiffany Stratton Vs Chelsea Green:
The match starts on the international feed. Once back from the ad break Tiffany and Chelsea have about 3 minutes before Nia Jax and Candice LeRae attack Trish from behind. Tiffany is pulled out of the ring causing this match as a whole to be a minor waste of time. Tiffany nearly sets up Candice for the PME but Nia pulls LeRae out for them to retreat.

AMAZING Andrade Vs Jacob Fatu – US Number One Contendership Triple Threat Qualifier:
This was a very great match. Andrade getting his high spots like a moonsault to the outside. As well as the feint moonsault. Jacob Fatu continues to be getting over more and more every single week. Pretty much being cheered over the face star Andrade. This is a fun and hard hitting match. Fatu wins with the hip attack, an impaler DDT and then the springboard moonsault.

MUST WATCH Mens Chamber Promo:
In a brilliant way to do things, Drew McIntyre ruins the John Cena promo video about winning the chamber. He walks through the crowd before going and sitting cross legged on the announce table. Drew took his shots at the competitors in the match including John Cena’s bald spot. Damian Priest came out and acknowledged the dirt sheets saying that Drew wasn’t happy with his spot in the company after the year he had. Talking about how he beat Drew several times during the year and said he was obsessed with CM Punk.
Seth Rollins arrived and they briefly talked about MITB. Seth claimed that he is a healthier guy now than he was last year. It wasn’t long before CM Punk showed up and started to talk about all of the men out in the ring / ringside area. Mentioning Seth’s outfit looking like an Oven mitt, Damian being one he would beat and Drew having his soul snatched at Bad Blood.
Soon John Cena’s theme hit with Logan Paul coming out. This is a well done pop and reaction to get heat on Logan. Logan has a weaker performance on the microphone talking trash to all four of the guys and John Cena. With Drew/Damian and Seth/Punk teases before Logan’s arrival that could hint at possible mania directions. This was a tremendous promo from start to finish and ended with Punk starting to go back after Logan

GREAT LA Knight Vs Santos Escobar – US Number One Contendership Triple Threat Qualifier:
While it was tough to believe Santos had a shot here. It was a fun match. Santos and Knight have great chemistry here and it was shown in great lengths. The finish definitely boosted the rating as it was a literal catching BFT.

AMAZING Sami Zayn and KO Promo:
Sami Zayn comes out and wants to give Kevin the chance to speak in front of him. With the piledriver being the last time they were in the ring together. He tries to call him out but KO is in the Rogers Stadium where Chamber is being held. Cutting a promo in the empty arena without the crowd. KO feared what would happen if he did go into the same ring with Sami before Chamber. Sami says he fears what he could do to KO also. KO ends the promo by shoving the camera away as there weren’t any words left.

SQUASH Braun Strowman Vs Carmelo Hayes – US Number One Contendership Triple Threat Qualifier:
Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa attack and try to damage Braun. Strowman uses a chair and puts it in the ring. Hayes would pull an Eddie and actually win. Absolutely nothing match

GREAT Bayley, Bianca and Naomi Vs Raquel, Liv and Roxanne:
This is a fun six woman tag team match. With this match being set up based off of the kickoff event. Both dynamics are worked in the match with Bayley and Rox feuding. And then the tag champs and former champs having their issues. The heels control parts of the match. Roxanne and Bayley end the match with Roxanne hitting a Running Pop Rox that looked amazing. Perez’s thing on the main roster should be historic feats and hitting Pop Rox in cool ways.

AMAZING Carmelo Hayes Vs Jacob Fatu Vs LA Knight – US Number One Contendership Triple Threat: WWE Smackdown February 28 2025 Main Event
There was only two potential winners Fatu or Knight. This is an enjoyable work with Hayes being able to sell for Jacob. Jacob’s pre match promo was electric also. Knight hitting a springboard crossbody onto the announce table was fun. Its a very enjoyable triple threat match with a finish that protects Jacob as Knight steals the victory and gets the pop.

GREAT Cody Rhodes Promo: WWE Smackdown February 28 2025 Last Segment
While Cody Rhodes really doesn’t give many thoughts, Michael Cole tries to poke at his emotions. Wanting Cody to think about what could happen if he did say yes to The Rock. Soon The Rock delivers his third gift of the night, after a private locker room, wine/sushi buffet. The Rock had a custom made Cody Rhodes truck driven out. He would give a massage on the screen saying that he was on his way to Toronto. Rock proceeds to show Cody a weight belt saying Cody’s Soul with the date of Dusty’s death below it. Dwayne doesn’t want Cody to break his heart like Dusty’s death did.
