WWE Smackdown December 27 2024 brought a fun Smackdown to end the year. Structured around the eventual face to face between Nick Aldis and Kevin Owens, with KO’s ultimatum. Cody Rhodes returned and made a match official for the Royal Rumble. Ladder match with Kevin Owens for a Ref to not stop Cody from doing what he wants to do to Kevin.
The matches on the show were solid and fun matches. With the women's six person tag match going a solid amount of time with Tiffany finally saying she wants to become a champion. Los Garza and The Street Profits went a solid length and Theory got way more offense on Strowman in one match than Melo got in two.
The show had great flow from segment to segment, including how the post main event angle transitioned into the final segment of the show.
WWE Smackdown December 27 2024 is the last Smackdown of the year. Also the last two hour smackdown until next year. With next week moving to three hours. Nick Aldis has finally promised to address Kevin Owens’ actions. Tiffany Stratton, Nia Jax and Candice LeRae face The Women’s Tag Champions and Bayley. Nick Aldis has also allowed Chelsea Green to have a celebration.
Nick Aldis gives KO an ultimatum, saying he had to give the winged eagle back before the end of the night.
GOOD Nia Jax Pre Match Promo: WWE Smackdown December 27 2024 First Promo
After Tiffany had her entrance and was staying in the aisle. Nia and Candice came out. Jax was the only one to talk but was questioning Bianca Belair. Denying that herself, Candice or Tiffany attacked Jade. Also belittling Tiffany by claiming she couldn’t plan that type of thing.
Nia started to point the finger at Bianca as if she was the attacker. Claiming that Bianca didn’t look Jade having the spotlight. With Jade being bigger and stronger than her. Jax accused Belair and her team got into the ring.

AMAZING Bianca Belair, Bayley and Naomi Vs Tiffany Stratton, Nia Jax and Candice LeRae: WWE Smackdown December 27 2024 First Match
This match was honestly very fun and well done. From working on the dynamics that Nia, Candice and Tiffany clearly aren’t on the same page. Having Tiffany trying to help control the match. The heels got their time to control and if you wanted to dispute how over Tiffany is, you would be proven wrong. Tiffany Stratton got the hotter hot tag as a heel.
Ultimately the most important moment in the match is Nia being on the ground, the crowd clearly trying to influence Tiffany to cash in. She grabs her briefcase and Candice ends up stopping her. Tiffany ultimately says that she wants to be Champion! Candice tags herself in as Nia was getting up. LeRae is pinned by the new tag champion again.
Results: Naomi by Pinfall via Full Nelson Bomb on Candice LeRae

GOOD Austin Theory Vs Braun Strowman:
Easily getting an atmospheric boost from the crowd just loving Braun Strowman. There are a couple of fun moments that continue the somewhat never ending “when will Theory drop Waller” dynamic. Theory has to work on Braun’s knee to get some offense on him. Waller escaped the strowman express spot before trying to help Theory. Theory was unable to keep Strowman up for the A Town Down. Braun powerslams him.
Results: Braun Strowman by Pinfall via Powerslam

GREAT Chelsea Green Celebration:
Piper would introduce her to the ring. Chelsea spoke like she was doing a presidential rally. Using lines like what can you do for Chelsea Green. Also snubbing Piper for when she says who made this possible. Making a list of accolades she can get away with as the first and only champion: Youngest, Oldest, Richest, etc.
Michin interrupts and blamed Piper for being the reason Chelsea won. Wanting to introduce Chelsea and Piper to her friend the kendo. Piper went out of the ring and got attacked with the Kendo. Chelsea retreats as Michin stands tall in the ring.

GREAT Street Profits with B Fab Vs Los Garza with Elektra Lopez:
This is just a good match. With Los Garza Vs The Profits getting probably more time than needed. Its a solid match, the profits are always over. Los Garza got a nice moment with the assisted top rope slam. Ultimately B Fab spots Elektra Lopez and The Profits get the win.
Results: Street Profits by Pinfall via Super Blockbuster

GREAT Sami Zayn Vs Carmelo Hayes: WWE Smackdown December 27 2024 Main Event
This was just a very good match. Once again, wrestlers having solid in ring exposure. Hayes and Zayn had solid chemistry for what was done in the ring. Loving the counter of Melo’s springboard into a blue thunder bomb. Hayes attempts to leave and Braun attacks him. Chasing after him to the back.
The Bloodline attack Sami in the ring. Braun would end up joining him. By the end of it, Strowman and Sami had fallen. Nick Aldis is in the ring with the producers as they send the Bloodline away.
Results: No Contest by DQ via Multiple Interferences by Strowman and Bloodline

AMAZING Nick Aldis and Kevin Owens Meet: WWE Smackdown December 27 2024 Final Segment
Kevin claims the winged eagle championship he had was his bargaining chip to get his rematch. Claiming the ref screwed him. Aldis would tell Kevin it was no negotiation and that if he didn’t give the championship back he wouldn’t be in WWE ever again.
Cody appears and walks out in what looked to be a trench coat. With KO challenging Cody to take the winged eagle back. Cody would say that he could not let Aldis handle this. Claiming that it was his job to take it back. Rhodes would eventually challenge Kevin to a ladder match for both titles. Aldis made it official. Nick is pushed into Cody by Kevin and the attack is short but is focused on the neck of Rhodes.
