WWE Smackdown December 20 2024 brings just a rather dull show. This was a taped show and it just isn’t all that exciting. From quite a long match for The Bloodline, as they struggled to beat a mix matched team. To a brutal segment of the Grayson Waller Effect. Carmelo Hayes gets a Christmas miracle as he beat Strowman by countout. Also attacking him in the leg backstage after. Naomi earned her championship by getting the win for her and Bianca. Tiffany Stratton cost Nia and Candice the tag team championships by appearing ringside unwanted.
There is some storyline progression with Kevin speaking on SNME. Naomi earning her half of the titles. Tiffany still being talked down too. Shinsuke attacking Knight. But nothing really stood out as something to be excited about for next weeks Smackdown.
WWE Smackdown December 20 2024 brings some fallout from Saturday Night’s Main Event. With The Bloodline set to face the stars they have been attacking. GREAT The Bloodline Vs Andrade, Apollo Crews and LA Knight: WWE Smackdown December 20 2024 First Match
While it is kinda tough to think about, this match had a good amount of time. The Bloodline got the chance to display some violence. Both teams getting some time to control. Ultimately The Bloodline got the advantage once Shinsuke Nakamura attacked LA Knight outside the ring. Solo gets the pin on the guy that matters the least in Apollo Crews.

AVERAGE Grayson Waller Effect with Braun Strowman:
After dressing festive with what he was wearing, Braun Strowman got in the ring with Waller and Theory. There is a clear dynamic of Braun not going to accept funny business. The banter is dull and not good. Carmelo Hayes would come out. Things were escalated as he called Braun a “Big ugly dumb Santa Claus B*tch.” Strowman destroys the set and a rematch is made?
Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 2.25
SQUASH Braun Strowman Vs Carmelo Hayes:
Braun takes a rough hurricanrana. Carmelo is cocky throughout the whole match. Getting his shots when he could. After slapping Braun on the outside of the ring, Hayes is poorly tossed over the top rope and wins by count out.
Results: Carmelo Hayes by Count Out via Being Thrown Into The Ring by Strowman before the 10 count.
GOOD Alex Shelley Vs Johnny Gargano:
This is a good match. Nothing more than that. Good sequences between both guys who know each other so well. The real downside is the crowd not caring for a good chunk of the match. It’s a technical match, both guys using the Gargano Escape / Border City Stretch. Well thought out psychology displayed.
Ciampa ends up coming out and distracts Shelley on the top rope. Sabin runs Ciampa around the ring as Alex goes for a crossbody. Gargano uses the momentum to roll and pin Shelley that way.
Results: Johnny Gargano by Pinfall via Countered Shelley’s Crossbody and Used The Tights with a pin.

GREAT Bianca Belair and NaomI Vs Candice LeRae and Nia Jax – Women’s Tag Team Championships: WWE Smackdown December 20 2024 Main Event
This is a fun match, well structured tag match. Candice and Nia get their moments to control the match. Displaying some nice tag team spots. Bianca gets a great 450 on Nia with a great amount of distance. Ultimately despite being told to stay in the back, Tiffany makes her way to the back. With “cash it in” chants filling the arena. Nia tries to get the MITB from Stratton but it taken out. Candice is pinned by Naomi as Naomi has earned her championship.
Results: Naomi by Pinfall via Split Legged Moonsault
