AMAZING Rhea Ripley Vs Nia Jax – Women’s World Championship: WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Match One

As a whole it’s a tough comparison if you are going to try and compare this to Elimination Chamber’s main event. This is an opening contest and the SNME matches often feel more like a sprint in this. The crowd absolutely booed Nia and was firmly behind the champion Rhea Ripley. Rhea and Nix have a hard hitting match with Rhea hitting a Sunset bomb, getting an electric chair driver before the riptide gets the win. Nia hits an AnNiahilator onto Rhea’s back, and Rhea is crawling at Nia’s boot to try and fight back.
Results: Rhea Ripley by Pinfall via Riptide

MUST WATCH Bron Breakker Vs Sheamus – Intercontinental Championship:

Sheamus will forever be loved by the crowd and this match proves it. Everyone wants to see Sheamus win the Intercontinental Championship. This is hard hitting, stiff, big power moves like the high cross, how Sheamus was caught with a spear on the outside. The rib/chest area is what Bron is able to work on and use the damage to his advantage. Sheamus gets a brogue kick and a nearfall happens with Bron using the ropes to not have to kick out. After his ribs stopping him from getting another brogue kick, Bron and Sheamus have one final sequence that results in a spear with Bron getting the win.
Results: Bron Breakker by Pinfall via Spear

MUST WATCH Cody and Kevin Contract Signing / Championship Hanging Ceremony:
As a whole this does its job. Cody and Kevin officially sign the contract with an absence of a reveal for this additional clause that Nick Aldis was talking about. Kevin continues to delay signing it as he continues to talk and blow off Shawn’s directions. Cody Sucks Eggs, a Terry Funk original that he used on Dusty. Tremendous shirt on Kevin. Kevin talks about Cody lying from Smackdown where Cody said Kevin would always take the shortcut. Mentioning the Berlin match where he cared about the friendship.
Once both titles are raised in the air, Kevin ends up striking Cody. He attempts to set HBK up for a package piledriver but Cody stops it. Shawn tunes up the band and superkicks Kevin after being disrespected the whole time.

This is the hoss fight, with Jacob Fatu having to be more athletic, he succeeds. The kinda falls apart when it starts to revolve around bigger spots. Braun doing the Strowman express three times when he is jogging. Fatu stopping the last one with a samoan drop on the table was great. Jacob would hit nearly ten hit attacks to Braun in the ring before putting his hands on the Ref. The Ref stops the match but the beat down continues. Strowman becomes a bloody mess and gets hit with three moonsaults with Producers and Tama Tonga trying to start him after each time.
Results: Braun Strowman by DQ via Jacob Fatu Assaulting The Ref

MUST WATCH Gunther Vs Jey Uso – World Heavyweight Championship: WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Main Event

With the entire story being how Jey Uso wanted to prove himself and earn Gunther’s respect, he was a winner for that. Getting several very close and very near falls with the crowd and the viewer on the edge of their seat. Everyone wanted Jey to win in that building. Gunther using his chops to break down Jey makes sense. Jey goes for a spear but is caught and smoothly lifted into a powerbomb. Gunther wins with two powerbombs in the end. Gunther and Jey exchange looks as the show ends.
Results: Gunther by Pinfall via Double Powerbomb
