WWE Raw on September 4th did a great job and producing a show that was centered towards the main event. That main event being the third match between Gunther and Chad Gable. As well as the importance of the Intercontinental championship match, and championship history. The matches aside from the main event were good enough for weekly television. The show had a number of dry moments, specifically the two women's matches. But the show had development throughout surrounding the judgment day and now Jey Uso’s involvement in the show.
WWE Raw on September 4 has the fallout of WWE Payback. With the newest member of the Raw roster being Jey Uso, we hear from him. What’s next for the gold heavy Judgment Day? We find out what is next in Shinsuke’s quest for the World Heavyweight championship. We also get a tornado tag team match between the newly formed Glasbros and the Viking Raiders.
MUST WATCH Jey Uso Promo: WWE Raw September 4 Opening Promo
Jey Uso with the crowd entrance just fits so well. Since angle’s surrounding the Bloodline have had him coming or leaving through it. I wont get enough of Jey doing the waving with the crowd. Admitting to it being a short hiatus but being broken by fighting with his family. Jey Uso admits that Raw is going to have a lot of enemies but he isn’t hard to find.
Sami Zayn comes out in a rather hesitant manner. Crowd singing his theme is great. Zayn admits to Jey being right about the people in the back that have issues with Jey. Sami says wanted to be the first to welcome and express that he was happy for Jey to be there. He praises Jey for breaking free from the Bloodline. Offering a handshake in saying he is proud of Jey. Jey doesn’t shake his hand and Sami says he will always be there to talk. Jey says it wasn’t Ucey of him to deny the handshake before they engage in a hug.
Drew Mcintyre and Matt Riddle come out for the match while having a staredown with Jey. Sami being protective in telling Drew and Matt its Jey’s first night back.

A video of Nakamura talking is played as he speaks about Payback’s post show attack. Ending with him promising to be world heavyweight champion.
Seth Rollins is reminded about being here, since the medical team told him not too. Ricochet and Adam Pearce share similar concerns about him being there.
GREAT The Glas-Bros Vs The Viking Raiders – Tornado Tag Team Match:
This was a fun match that included a great crowd. The fans enjoyed the chemistry being developed between Drew and Matt. Including the “get the tables” spots that are reminiscent of the Dudleys. The match was back and forth between the two of them. The finish included Kofi Kingston running down and accidentally hitting Riddle with the trouble in paradise. Drew is removed before the raiders do the Ragnarok finisher through a table.
Results: Viking Raiders by Pinfall via Ragnarok On Riddle Through a Table

GOOD Seth Rollins Promo:
Seth Rollins comes out and talks about Payback. How he didn’t know if he was going to be able to continue. Saying that he wants to write the wrongs from Saturday and Shinsuke comes out. Nakamura stays on the stage as Seth tries to get a rematch. Nakamura continues to refuse a title shot? And then a brawl happens. Ricochet is involved with in as Adam Pearce says he is trying to save Seth from himself. Fine promo but it was weird with Shinsuke not wanting to face Seth when wanting to be the champion.

GOOD Ricochet Vs Shinsuke Nakamura:
An overall fine match. Ricochet and Shinsuke have good charisma together. But this match quickly became a vehicle to advance Seth and Shinsuke. When Shinsuke used the chair to end the match. The action was fine and resulted in Nakamura gaining heat. Seth Rollins ran down to stop the attack on Ricochet.
Results: Ricochet by DQ via Chair Shot

AMAZING Judgment Day promo:
The promo was really good. We finally have a Judgment Day promo that isn’t just continuing the Finn and Damian have issues and it needs to be fixed. This was moving the Judgment Day in a new direction with Dominik still getting the same heat. JD McDonagh shows up and is told by the hot headed Damian this interruption better be good. McDonagh says it is before repeating the “briefcase has to go” line. He then shows why he thought so as he presented Damian with a custom “Senor” Money in the bank, Judgment Day themed briefcase. The colours and stuff do look really good.
Sami Zayn comes out and calls all of them championship stealing turds. Tries to challenge Dominik before JD McDonagh takes the match himself to Judgment Day’s approval.

ABOVE AVERAGE Shayna Baszler Vs Zoey Stark:
A number of slow and awkward exchanges between the two. Zoey struggled to get Shayna up for her finisher. I do wanna give props to the extended finish with Zoey getting up like three times in an attempt to get out of the Kirifuda Clutch. Shayna does not tap her out as Zoey passes out. Respect is shown between them as the crowd applaud Zoey getting a Shayan fist bump.
Results: Shayna Baszler by Pass Out Submission via Kirifuda Clutch
Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 2.75 Stars
SQUASH Raquel Rodriguez Vs Chelsea Green:
Top contender making quick work of the cleared women’s tag team champion. Since Piper Niven was revealed to not be cleared earlier. Chelsea sold her ass off for Raquel’s offense.
Results: Raquel Rodriguez by Pinfall via Tejuna Bomb
After the match Raquel Rodriguez announces that Dominik is banned from ringside for next week’s Payback Rematch.
GREAT Miz TV:
This was a very odd segment. I do give them credit for playing up the “U Can’t See Me” Cena joke. By having the camera follow nothing as if Cena was doing his entrance. Including The Miz doing most of the promo with nothing in the other chair. Including having a brawl with nothing. Giving nothing a skull crushing finale. The crowd was oddly hot by giving “Holy Shit” chants.
But I do really like Miz’s message because he sat there and compared LA Knight’s future success being as real as John Cena was in the segment. Miz continues to go with the fluke statement and is wanting to truly put an end to the LA Knight story and momentum in a fair rematch.
Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 3.50 Stars
GOOD Sami Zayn Vs JD McDonagh:
This was another fine match of the show. We got Dominik Mysterio being the reason Sami Zayn loses. Sami Zayn attacks Dominik before JD allows Dominik to get out of the ring. JD doesn’t get the same satisfaction and takes an exploder and helluva kick as Dom retreats. Nothing spectacular in this match but the crowd are firmly behind Sami Zayn.
Results: JD McDonagh by Pinfall via Roll Up
Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 3.25 Stars
Jey Uso is comically approached by Dominik Mysterio after JD is getting the Judgment Day approval. Dominik tries to tell Jey that he has a welcoming invite into Judgment Day since they both have crappy families.
MUST WATCH Chad Gable Vs Gunther – Intercontinental Championship Match: WWE Raw September 4 Main Event
Boy this is a Premium Live Event match on television. Chad Gable and Gunther have really good chemistry and the technical ability of both men is absurd put together. The match has a great build and this is one of those matches Gunther didn’t need Imperium in his corner. I enjoy the details of having Gable’s family ringside. This is one of those matches that are must see TV.
Results: Gunther by Pinfall via Clothesline
