PERFECT Jey Uso and Paul Heyman Promo: WWE Raw May 5 2025 Opening Promo
This was everything it needed to be in more. Paul Heyman interrupts Jey Uso who was looking for Logan Paul. Heyman finally explained his actions from what Punk did. Claiming that Punk put him in a bad spot between himself and his Tribal Chief. The Wiseman was able to air his grievances towards Roman Reigns leaving him while he truly only returned to get back his Ula Fala. Paul would claim that he was the one who built the Bloodline for 5 years. Paul finally explained himself and was definitely confusing Jey Uso. Jey would ask what all this had to do with him. Paul would direct himself to Seth and the world championship.
Going on that Jey Uso didn’t know how to wield the power of being champion. Mentioning how Jey has just been yeeting every week. Saying Seth knew how to. Paul would make a statement that Seth Rollins was going to go after Jey, and they were letting Jey make the decision. Anywhere and anytime. Jey would be willing to be a fighting champion. Got in Heyman’s face as he would set the match up for tonight. The crowd yeeting at him as he said it.
Heyman’s crash out was everything it needed to be. Jey Uso didn’t slough and kept with the program. They set up a main event match.

AMAZING Penta Vs JD McDonagh:
This is a really great match. Penta fights the odds of Carlito, Finn Balor. Both getting ejected after Finn was caught. JD was bumping for Penta, the counter of the dropkick which sent JD into the post was fun. The dropkick after is rarely done like that also. Penta looks to be overcoming the odds but Chad Gable attempts to interfere also. Chad is hit with a great dive by Penta before Penta was able to get the win with the Mexican Destroyer on JD.
Results: Penta by Pinfall via Mexican Destroyer

GREAT Sheamus Vs Austin Theory:
This crowd was very very firmly behind Sheamus. Sheamus had them counting for the beats. Reacting greatly for him for this match. Its a solid and fun match which definitely revolves around how Waller set Theory up for a surprise match with Sheamus. Theory does well in bumping for Sheamus and his offense. The pump knee off of the roll was great. The Brogue Kick gets the win and Sheamus hits the victory.
Results: Sheamus by Pinfall via Brogue Kick

MUST WATCH Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria Segment:
Becky Lynch started the promo off by referring to beating up Bayley as taking out the trash/garbage. Calling Bayley Garbage several times and saying the people were okay with her taking out the trash before she revealed she was the one who took it out. Then calling Lyra Valkyria “recycling” is not as bad as trash but still needing to be taken out? That is very much a scripted line and was so odd. Lyra comes out and starts talking about how she made her own history. The Roster was better off without Becky here. Lynch would go on to say that it was her job to be the best and to beat everyone. Becky claimed that she was the greatest, citing that tSports Illustrated said she was also. Lyra listed off accolades but was able to say she was the first intercontinental champion. Telling Becky that she has to get used to number two. The two got a brawl that saw them separated. Lyra would get back in the ring and hit a nightwing on Becky Lynch.

AMAZING Roxanne Perez Vs Iyo Sky:
Welcome to highly skilled wrestlers being highly skilled wrestlers. Iyo Sky and Roxanne Perez already have a great amount of chemistry together. Iyo sold the knee that Roxanne was targeting. The crowd was definitely more for Iyo the way they should be when Perez is heel. Even doing the Iyo.. Iyo Skyyyy chant. Sky tries to go for the bullet train knees but her bad knee gives out. Brilliant psychology there, being unable to go for a move. The counters and sequences are great in the match. To keep Roxanne strong, Iyo barely gets the win after several roll up counters. The champion just gets the win while Roxanne was able to control and dominant the champion.
Results: Iyo Sky by Pinfall via Roll Up
Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 4.25 Stars
GOOD Rusev Vs Otis:
This is a hoss fight. Two big men doing some athletic things and hitting each other hard. It does go a little bit longer than it probably should’ve. Rusev ends up with the Accolade to get the win. The crowd did seem a little bit more into Otis. Rusev would beat down Otis and Tozawa after the match and kept the Accolade in for more damage. Solidifying Rusev as a heel and as dangerous.
Results: Rusev by Submission via Accolade

MUST WATCH Pat McAfee and Gunther Segment: WWE Raw May 5 2025 Semi Main Event Segment
Adam Pearce swears the two into professional conduct, saying they could not get physical. Pat McAfee ends up cutting a promo about how Gunther has lost his passion for this. Claiming that Gunther is now thinking this is his job. Saying both of they grew up watching Wrestling with the hopes of being wrestlers. Pat still believes in the magic that comes with stepping into a WWE arena. Saying he was too comfortable and that Gunther didn’t want this anymore. Pat wants to show that Gunther went soft. Gunther would go on saying that Pat has gotten him in the mood for Saturday. Saying that he was ready, he will be so focused and sharp for his return match since losing at Mania. Gunther tells Pat that by grace he is saved from being choked tonight, but God’s Grace is the one that would be the one that can save him at Backlash. Gunther pushes Pat before leaving the ring.

MUST WATCH Jey Uso Vs Seth Rollins – World Heavyweight Championship: WWE Raw May 5 2025 Main Event
Edge of your seat action here. The nearfalls are brilliant. The Pedigree reversal of the spear will always be so cool. With a kickout from a spear, from a stomp. The crowd is on the edge of their seats and its very easy to get personally invested and lost in the moment. Sami Zayn ended up coming out, ribs taped up as he takes it to Bron Breakker. Bron ends up spearing both Sami and eventually Jey. Seth gets a stomp but CM Punk’s theme hits. Punk ends up costing Seth the match but the emotions made sense. It was a great moment, a great entrance and the match doesn’t feel sour by ending this way. A Really great match with a good finish because neither men could lose.
Results: Seth by DQ via CM Punk Interference
