With Jordynne Grace officially being an NXT player she appeared after the Giulia and Vaquer celebration as both ended the event as champion. As a whole, the show flew by and really only had a small dip in quality compared to everything else with Eddy and Trick. A very strong start to the year from NXT.

“The best way possible to start Vengeance Day, with a new champion in the incredibly over Stephanie Vaquer. This was one of those matches I was personally most anticipating for this show, and these two lived up to my expectations. Fallon Henley continues to prove why she’s one of the most reliable wrestlers in the best women’s division in the world. Her and Stephanie had a respectable amount of chemistry, with some very nice technical wrestling sequences. But it was definitely the right time to end Fallon’s title reign, and start the Era of Vaquer.” – Archie Carter
“I can’t sit here and say I was expecting this to open the show. Regardless this was a very well done match. From start to finish we get a technical affair, with several sequences resulting in submissions. Fallon getting an armbar, Stephanie hitting the draping armbar in return. Vaquer has one of the best dragon screws in the business. The role that Fatal Influence played made sense, getting the advantage earlier on in the match, getting heat towards Fallon. It gave you that hope once you saw Stephanie fighting back with superkicks and a great springboard to the outside. Vaquer got the win with a corkscrew moonsault and the first match of the show was very solid start to finish.” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Stephanie Vaquer by Pinfall via Corkscrew Moonsault
Archie Carter and Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 4.25 Stars
MUST WATCH Fraxiom Vs Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura – NXT Tag Team Championships:

“What. A. Match. There is a serious case for this to be called the best tag team match of the year so far. Fraxiom continues their trend of carrying tag teams to be their absolute best from an in-ring perspective. They are the perfect team to lead this very inexperienced tag team division as shown in this match, they can elevate new tag teams, and even ones with more experience like Briggs and Inamura. Speaking of Briggs and Inamura, this was a performance that cemented themselves as major players in the tag team division. They are just such a powerfully explosive duo, which makes them incredibly fun to watch. After the match the debut of the faction that was constantly teased was done very well, everyone looked like beasts and I’m excited to learn more about this new group on NXT next week.” – Archie Carter
“Once again the true best tag team in the world is able to deliver once again. While this had a basic story, everything else within the match is exceptional. Fraxiom as a whole, were the athletic and faster stars while Inamura and Briggs clearly had the power advantage. Inamura and Briggs demonstrated great chemistry with each other. The backdrop powerbomb was great. As a whole the sequences and spots are unique and are very enjoyable as a whole. Inamura had his first real opportunity to showcase himself on an NXT stage and succeeded. The bouncing on the turnbuckle is a crazy visual. Frazer possibly busted Briggs’ face with the springboard 450 which was an obvious whiff. The first appearance of the new group saw the four take out the two teams. An impactful start to their run.” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Fraxiom by Pinfall via High Low Dropkick Sweep Combo
Archie Carter and Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 4.50 Stars
GREAT Eddy Thorpe Vs Trick Williams – Strap Match:

“An ending that genuinely shocked me. Eddy Thorpe beats Trick Williams in a major upset. The match itself was actually a pretty decent Strap Match, which is a stipulation that is consistently hit or miss. Eddy Thorpe is someone that has cemented himself as a main player in NXT’s mid card scene, his rivalry with Oba Femi and Trick has really put a great spotlight on him as a wrestler. The ending made sense if this feud is continuing, which it likely is after Thorpe won in a not so clean way. But the finish was also very abrupt with no real build.” – Archie Carter
“The match is probably weaker than the rating can be perceivable. Its a strap match and its either amazing or just weak. This is weakish. Easily the weakest match on the card. I liked the finish, with Eddy countering the trick shot and using the strap to have Trick hit himself in the balls. Using the trickshot himself to get the win was a shock with an abrupt but logical ending. I can’t imagine this ending their rivalry, unless Trick is not going to work with Oba for WM weekend.” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Eddy Thorpe by Pinfall via Running Knee
Archie Carter and Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 3.50 Stars
MUST WATCH Ethan Page Vs Je’Von Evans:

“This is a rivalry that probably had one of the strongest builds going into Vengeance Day. The match was very strong, and played towards both guys’ strengths. Je’Von Evans once again showed himself to be a freak athlete, it never gets old watching him wrestle because he blows your mind every single time he gets in the ring. Ethan Page continued his ruthless character progression, as he continuously tried to end Je’Von’s career or at least further his jaw injury. In the end it was the jaw injury that played a major factor, as Page punched Evans’ mouth guard onto the floor, before hitting the jumping cutter to get the victory.” – Archie Carter
“I was personally blown away, I wasn’t really expecting a match this quality. This is a very well done match from start to finish. Revolving around the dark and twisted side that Ethan Page displayed. Working on the ankle after stomping the steps into it. Je’Von has his first match really that focuses on the damage done to his ankle and his emotions. Je’Von wants to bring it and is able to with his agility, the big dive to the outside. Evans’ being unable to connect with the springboards as he is hurt works and it makes sense. The finish was very well done also, Ethan punching the mouth guard out before hitting his version of the twist of fate for the win. No complaints following this match.” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Ethan Page by Pinfall via “Twisted Grin” Twist Of Fate
Archie Carter and Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 4.75 Stars
MUST WATCH Oba Femi Vs Austin Theory Vs Grayson Waller – NXT Championship: WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2025 Semi Main Event

“The idea of this match was very intriguing, the build to the contest was heavily based around the question, what happens when it comes down to just Austin Theory and Grayson Waller? Which continued in this contest, and that’s what made it so great. The constant teases of the break-up between Waller and Theory were executed to perfection, from Austin pinning Oba when he should’ve been checking on Grayson, to Waller pulling the referee from the ring when Theory was about to win. Of course Oba Femi also looked like an absolute monster as well, as he dominated the match showcasing his freakish strength, throwing both Theory and Waller around the ring like it was nothing.
Oba retained as expected, although it would’ve been good to see a fully cemented turn from Theory to finally put an end to his and Grayson’s tag team. The new faction showed their faces once again, as they absolutely obliterated the NXT Champion in another impressive beat down.” – Archie Carter
“The Ruler retains and continues being the king of the triple threat. With Waller and Theory having tension that is almost a year old, tensions finally started to rise in this match. The A Town Down Under dynamic was a vital part of this match and the escalations were done phenomenally. Waller hitting the rolling stunner was a great way to leave the tension at a high before Oba’s great powerbomb on Waller. Top to bottom absolutely another hit for an Oba three way. Another beatdown from the new group put a stamp on NXT. Laying out the dominant champion Oba Femi is a great way to boost a group of new talent.” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Oba Femi by Pinfall via Fall from Grace on Waller
Archie Carter and Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 4.75 Stars
MUST WATCH Giulia Vs Cora Jade Vs Bayley Vs Roxanne Perez – NXT Women’s Championship: WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2025 Main Event

“Deservedly, NXT’s women’s division main events another PLE. There was lots of criticism online from fans, who thought adding an extra person to this match was over the top. But honestly, the addition of Cora Jade added a really good layer to this.
The contest started off a bit like a tag team match, with Giulia and Bayley working together against the former best friends in Roxanne Perez and Cora. But as things went on, we saw some great moments that benefited every wrestler. Rox and Cora got some time for their story to be told, as Roxanne just snapped and started attacking Jade. Giulia and Bayley gave us a dream technical wrestling encounter, and the rivalry that started all of this in Perez and Giulia got a big spotlight as well. This match achieved what it needed to, and the ending of Jordynne Grace making her presence known to the NXT Women’s Division was a fantastic way to close the show.” – Archie Carter
“As a whole, the fatal four ways are always going to have a tough time. With obvious timing issues and some things not looking perfect. This was a very fun match, everyone got their moments to shine but it almost seemed like Giulia was the least important person in the match. Bayley and Roxanne having their issues, Roxanne and Cora on the outs. Giulia was a side character as the champion and in this case, it worked. There were dynamics being featured that didn’t revolve around her, and the finish worked. Giulia came back when it mattered most, and defeated Roxanne to retain. ” – Coby Galenzoski
Results: Giulia by Pinfall via Northern Lights Bomb
Archie Carter and Coby Galenzoski WR Star Rating – 4.75 Stars
