WWE NXT Stand and Deliver 2024 without a doubt delivers to the greatest level. Everything on the card felt like it belonged with entertaining matches throughout the whole show. Standout matches like the tag match, the triple threat, the NXT women's championship match, and the NXT championship match. While the match quality was consistent throughout the show, the main event was on the verge of not delivering. The atmosphere was there for the main event but it was a somewhat shorter match with it being less than 15 minutes. The main event left more to be desired on what was a very entertaining show from start till finish.
WWE NXT Stand and Deliver 2024 is headlined by the biggest rivalry in NXT today, Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes. Tony D’Angelo gets a shot at Ilja Dragunov’s NXT Championship. Oba Femi faces DIJAK and Josh Briggs in a triple threat match. Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker defend against Axiom and Nathan Frazer. Roxanne Perez looks to have a proper rematch against champion Lyra Valkyria. Thea Hail leads a group of Kelani Jordan and Fallon Henley to face Jacy Jayne, Kiana James and Izzi Dame. And the unhinged Joe Gacy faces Shawn Spears.

This is a fun little match. Nothing special or tremendous. During his entrance Joe Gacy is taken out by a chair by Ridge Holland. Gacy uses the entrance ramp and guardrail to walk and crawl to the ring. Gacy is selling his back throughout the match and there is a fun stuff. Not much of a story or anything crazy innovative. Shawn taking the loss is mysterious to me but Gacy deserves a PLE win.

MUST WATCH Axiom and Nathan Frazer Vs Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin – NXT Tag Team Championship Match: WWE NXT Stand and Deliver 2024 Kickoff Match

From start to finish this match is at a high speed and high intensity. From Axiom and Nathan Frazer keeping it an athletic match while also taking the power moves from Bron and Baron. The scariest spot is Bron and Baron are literally able to do the style that Nathan and Axiom are. Corbin doing a big dive from the top rope to a loud pop. Bron doing jumping knee strikes, and that great top rope hurricanrana. Bron does the back suplex into a cutter from the top rope. It is a great moves, great sequence after great sequence. Nathan and Axiom isolating Corbin as Bron is thrown into the steps.
Everything is very well done in this match. And that finish is a chef kiss with Baron setting Bron up for the spear with the end of days not fully connecting. Two classic tag matches from these teams within months.

PERFECT DIJAK Vs Josh Briggs Vs Oba Femi – NXT North American Championship Match:

This exceeds expectations. This is what “Meat madness” wishes it would have been. From DIJAK naturally becoming a pure babyface because of his talent. Oba Femi 6 months into his TV career has an aura for a 16k+ crowd. Briggs gets his moments as well. Three big men who are willing to put it all on the line. We have a doomsday tower of doom into a Death valley driver. DIJAK pulling out a destroyer. There is a great nearfall with the ref being pulled out. A Perfect match from start to finish with amazing moments and it is the show stealer.

This is a fine match. Its a match that does not have anything wrong with it. They build to when Jacy and Thea get their time to be one on one. The crowd is firmly behind Thea Hail. There is great tag work and solid spots with everyone. The finish felt a little abrupt with Jacy just tagging out and Thea just getting the win with the kimura. There is room for Jacy Vs Thea in a solo environment which is great. If you can build to more than one match, great.

AMAZING Roxanne Perez Vs Lyra Valkyria – NXT Women’s Championship Match:

This is what you want, coming into a match we have an injury or a damaged arm. This match does everything to build off of Lyra’s bad arm and Roxanne targets it like a hawk. We have Lyra’s dynamic with Tatum that comes into play as Tatum is accidently hit by Lyra. The work with the crossface that Roxanne gave was really well done. The finish was great as well. Very well done and well deserving of running it back since they had their first match ruined from February.

I think we have great psychology from Ilja as he is selling the injured hand. Something that is very tough to see. Tony D’Angelo throughout the build up had similar scenarios when he was running the streets but never wanted to finish off Ilja. During the match, Tony ignored Stacks’ attempt to give him brass knuckles to use. I feel like the only thing this match lacked was innovative spots but it was very well done from start to finish.

AMAZING Trick Williams Vs Carmelo Hayes: WWE NXT Stand and Deliver 2024 Main Event

The atmosphere is the biggest upside of this match. This is a match that feels like it never properly got to the next level. There is good stuff from both men as Carmelo controls the match. And Trick Williams tries to battle back but the entire must be a winner line is being overused. They attempt to say there will be a winner and there is referee’s discretion. But Trick gets his chair taken away. This match as a whole left a lot more to be desired. I feel there is a rematch coming because this almost lacked the proper blood feud, hatred, rivalry ending atmosphere. Trick getting the win with one running knee was shocking since this was sub 15 minutes.
