Ringside News is reporting that WWE has issued a 24/7 mask mandate to all talent and staff due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the United States.
This comes after it was announced that all fans attending SummerSlam at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas would have to wear masks regardless of vaccination status.
This mandate issued by WWE states that talent and staff regardless of vaccination status will have to wear masks at all times unless “eating or drinking.”
Ringside News also reported that all WWE talent backstage will be subjected to COVID-19 testing before each show. This is once again due to the rising cases COVID-19.
This is the reported message sent by mass message by WWE head of talent relations, John Laurinaitis.
“Effective immediately and until further notice, COVID testing will resume at every TV and event. More details to come soon.”
Earlier this month, Bodyslam reported that WWE officials expected a return to the ThunderDome and a potential cancellation of SummerSlam being hosted in Las Vegas due to the rising cases.
