According To Mike Johnson From PWInsider, the NXT brand, after going through a lot of major changes in the past year, and WWE itself now has two new experienced personal to improve their shows.
The new hires are George Carrol and John D’Amico. George Carrol will be a writer for the always-changing NXT brand. Carrol has the experience for this job, as he has worked for numerous top companies in the past such as ROH, NJPW, and MLW. John D’Amico was hired as Director, as well as Production Management for live events. D’Amico was released back in September of 2020 due to budget cuts but has been involved with the company since 1989.
These two hires are critical to the company as of right now, as NXT seems to be attempting to advance into a more modern-day pro-wrestling, by bringing in younger stars, new gimmicks, and frequent changes to the brand. In terms of live events and John D’Amico, this is just as much of a critical hire as it is to George Carrol, considering WWE live events are on the brink of return this summer.
