We may be in for one of the biggest parties of the summer yet. According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, WWE is attempting to make SummerSlam this years version of WrestleMania.
The tweet also claims that they were told “all resources will be tapped into”. Which may lead to the much speculated John Cena, Roman Reigns match that’s been rumoured recently.
If this is the case it’s very likely we’ll soon be seeing the return of Brock Lesnar, Becky Lynch, Edge and others leading up to the event.
Add to that the report a few weeks ago that WWE were attempting to have Cardi B host the show, and it’s starting to look like we’re having WrestleMania in August this year.
Allegiant Stadium where SummerSlam is taking place, normally seats 72,000. However with the amount of space WWE take up with their stages a sellout would be more likely in the 50,000-60,000 range, still doubling WrestleMania’s attendance.
