A multi-time world champion celebrating his 35th birthday, Impact Wrestling’s Jonathan Gresham is the Wrestling Republic Wrestler of the Day for March 20th.

    Jonathan Gresham Biography:

    Birth Name: Jonathan Gresham

    Age: 35 (March 20th, 1988)

    Height: 5’4

    Weight: 180 pounds

    Debut: 2005

    Place of Birth: Atlanta, Georgia

Accolades: 1x Ring of Honor World Champion, 1x Ring of Honor Pure Champion, 1x Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champion, 1x NWA Mid-America X Division Championship, 1x CZW World Champion, #10 on PWI 500 in 2022

If you were to think of the physique of a stereotypical wrestler, Jonathan Gresham’s probably wouldn’t come to mind. Standing at 5’4, Gresham has defied the odds in terms of what a wrestler should look like, appearing for companies all over the world including Impact, ROH, and AEW. in honor of his birthday, Gresham is today’s Wrestler of the Day.

After training in Atlanta, Gresham wrestled for a number of smaller promotions including Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling. He also briefly wrestled with Chikara but found major success after joining CZW in 2010. At Down with Sickness in 2016, Gresham won the CZW World Championship for his first world title.

It was in Ring of Honor, however, where Gresham really hit his stride. Like most on the ROH roster, he was inactive for most of 2020 as the world adapted to the covid pandemic. Once ROH came back, Gresham became the top guy by winning the ROH World Championship by defeating Jay Lethal to win the vacated title and then became the undisputed champion by defeating Bandido at Supercard of Honor XV.

Controversy struck after Gresham demanded his release immediately after losing the title to Claudio Castagnoli. Shortly after leaving ROH, Jonathan Gresham signed with Impact where he has been since.  It remains to be seen when Gresham will win his first title with Impact.
