Eddie Kingston of All Elite Wrestling is the Wrestling Republic Wrestler of the Day on December 12th.

    Eddie Kingston Biography:

    Birth Name: Edward Moore

    Age: 41 (December 12th, 1981)

    Height: 6’1

    Weight: 240 pounds

    Debut: 2002

Place of Birth: Yonkers, New York

Accolades: 1x Chikara Grand Champion, 1x CZW World Heavyweight Champion, 2x CZW World Tag Team Champion, 1x Evolve Tag Team Champion, #40 on PWI’s Top 500 in 2022, #10 on Sport’s Illustrated’s Top 10 Wrestlers of 2020

Recognized as one of the top talkers on AEW’s roster, Kingston has had several notable feuds with the likes of people like Jon Moxley. Since today is his birthday, Kingston is today’s Wrestler of the Day.

Eddie Kingston grew up in Yonkers, New York, and had a rough childhood, frequently getting into fights. For Kingston, wrestling served as an outlet for staying out of trouble. He began training with Chikara and made his professional debut in 2002.

Kingston bounced between a number of promotions, including CZW, wXw, PWG, and Ring of Honor. In CZW, Kingston was a multi-time heavyweight champion but was fired in the middle of a show for misconduct. Across these promotions, Kingston fought/teamed up with wrestlers such as Claudio Castagnoli, Gunther, and Homicide.

Eddie Kingston made his AEW debut in 2020, in a failed open challenge for the TNT Championship. Since joining AEW, Kingston has challenged for several championships but has never won. He notably feuded with Jon Moxley during Moxley’s first run as champion. His AEW run hasn’t been without controversy, as he was briefly suspended after he got into an altercation with Sammy Guevara. Recently, Kingston got a dream match when he defeated All Japan Pro Wrestling Star, Jun Akiyama. After the match, Kingston gave an emotional promo paying tribute to Akiyama. It remains to be seen when Kingston will win his first title in AEW.
