Will Ospreay has addressed on the possibility of having a dream match with two WWE Superstars, naming Seth Rollins & Ricochet as his top picks.
Will Ospreay has undoubtedly been one of the best professional wrestlers in the world for a few years now. His many great performances with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, as well as his dominant run as the longest reigning RevPro British Heavyweight Champion, are a living prove of that.
During this year, Will Ospreay has also walked through the Forbidden Door by making his first AEW appearances, defeating Orange Cassidy in the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV and putting in some amazing performances in the AEW World Trios Championship Tournament.
However, after hinting many times that he’s willing to walk through the Forbidden Door once again, Will Ospreay has now opened up on the possibility of facing two very well-known WWE Superstars in the near future. While addressing on this during a recent talk with Tokyo Sports, Ospreay said:
“I’ve mentioned Seth Rollins‘ name many times. And he’s approached me from the other side, so I have a lot of thoughts. I also think it would be a dream come true to fight Ricochet one more time, considering my history.”
Will Ospreay & The History With Ricochet & Seth Rollins
In addition to what he stated before, Will Ospreay explained the reasons why he thinks it’s possible to have these matches in the near future. While addresing this, Ospreay said:
“I think we’ve both become completely different wrestlers from when we fought in the past. I think we’re at a turning point right now, and in the past I’ve talked with people from WWE about how it would be nice to have a dream match in the future that transcends the boundaries of the different organizations.”
There is no doubt that -due to his long history of matches with Ricochet and the Twitter controversy with Rollins in 2019- the match would gain a lot of attention from pro wrestling fans around the world. Stay tuned to Wrestling Republic, as we’ll keep you updated on this.
