Wheeler Yuta defends his Ring of Honor Pure Championship title against Matt Sydal on the last episode of AEW Rampage for 2023.
On the December 29th edition of AEW Rampage New Year’s Smash Matt Sydal challenges ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta.
Wheeler Yuta won the title only a month ago after defeationg Shibata. He has also had some great title defenses.
The ROH Pure Championship Match was a Pure Rules match. The three judges were Christopher Daniels, Jimmy Jacobs, and Sarah Stock.
The match is full of highflying action as well as hard hitting offensive and defensive moves. There was also a lot of technical monervers exchanged by both competitors.
Wheeler Yuta would retain the ROH Pure Championship Title. After the bell rang Danhausen made his way out to the ring.
Danhausen declared himself a Ring Of Honor legend and named himself the fourth judge. He then “disqualifies” Wheeler Yuta.
Yuta wasted no time laying out Danhausen with a right hand, as he went back to beating Danhausen, Hook made his way out to the ring. Hook chases Yuta out of the ring and back to the backstage area.
Yuta will defend the ROH Pure Championship against Hook on December 30th at AEW World’s End. AEW fans have been buzzing with excitement to see who will walk away from World’s End as the champion.
The AEW World’s End pay-per-view takes at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York on Long Island. There are many other matches to watch and will surly have fans buzzing.
