Velveteen Dream was released by WWE earlier today according to PWInsider.
Dream, real name Patrick Clarke, signed with the WWE in 2015 and quickly became a fan favourite after appearing on the WWE Reality Show ‘Tough Enough’.
However, in 2020 several allegations came to light about the actions of Patrick Clarke, including a voice message of him asking a minor what school they went to. In late 2020 Triple H clarified that WWE found nothing in their investigation into Dream.
Sean Ross Sapp has noted that Velveteen Dream hadn’t been at many NXT tapings as of late and hadn’t wrestled in 2020. He had been coming to open ring, and there was growing concern in the company he was being set up to help coach classes.
