The number one contender tournament for Logan Paul’s WWE United States Championship is heating up, two more advance to the semi finals match.
On December 1st the WWE United States Championship number one contender tournament was announced. The winner of the tournament will be the next in line for a chance at Logan Paul’s championship.
Santos Escobar defeated Dragon Lee to advance in the tournament. Bobby Lashley has also advanced in the tournament after defeating Karrion Kross.
On the December 15th edition of Friday Night, SmackDown Carmelo Hayes defeated Grayson Waller in the first of two tournament matches. The match was very fast pace and the crowd was on the edge of their seats.
To finish the match Hayes connects the First 48 to Waller and then climbs to the top rope. Hayes finishes the match by hitting Nothing But Net and gaining pin-fall.
The second contender’s match was Austin Theory versus Kevin Owens. The match was hard-hitting, but Kevin Owens’s broken hand comes into play a lot. This hindered his performance in the match.
To win the match Kevin Owens uses his casted hand to give Austin Theory a right arm. Then Owens gets the pin-fall victory and will move on in the tournament.
The semi-final match will be Kevin Owens versus Carmelo Hayes on the December 22nd episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
The other semi-final match will be Santos Escobar versus Bobby Lashley. Then the final match will be the victor of the two semi-final’s matches.
The winner will face Logan Paul and challenge for the WWE United States Championship Title. Who do you believe will be the number one contender? Will they defeat Logan Paul?
