WWE haven’t been a company that are afraid from changing a wrestler’s name. Most of these name changes happen on the main roster, with a lot of them just taking away the wrestler’s first name or last name such as, Angel, Theory and Ciampa. But Doudrop’s name change is a big difference from her former name which was Piper Niven.
However, now that Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo have got their original names back, it looks like Triple H might want to bring back some original names for wrestlers and it seems that Doudrop could be another wrestler that gets a name change.
Speaking to Inside The Ropes, Doudrop mentioned that there have been some discussions with The Game about a name change.
“We did have a conversation about it. Because here’s the thing, before it was Vince’s vision and now it’s Triple H’s vision.” Doudrop said.
“So it’s like ‘What’s your vision and where do you see this going, are you open to ideas?’” (H/T 411 Mania).
Although it doesn’t seem to be a big deal to Doudrop if she has a name change or not but more interested in the direction of her character.
“For me, I don’t mind either way. I would just like to make more deliberate steps going forward with [my] character. I feel like for the past little while, things have [been weird].”
Doudrop has been a part of the main roster since her debut with Eva Marie on RAW in 2021. She has been involved in matches with Naomi, Bianca Belair and she has even been in a RAW Women’s Championship match with Becky Lynch at this year’s Royal Rumble. Doudrop is also currently involved in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament with Nikki A.S.H.
