One of the most talked about Wrestlers in the game right now all over the world The Imperial Unit! Known as a United Empire member Jeff Cobb.
After discussing some begins and having a conversation about his start and he replied with
“I’ve been a fan for as long as I can remember and it’s pretty much all I wanted to do was be a wrestler.”
While on the subject Eric decided to talk about his NJPW Experimce starting with joining the United empire.
“Umm well I feel that I think it was 4 years at that point I was wrestling for new Japan off and on and i feel like I was trying to be this happy go lucky guy and it wasn’t getting me anywhere and I won the Never Openweight title at MSG And my attitude was the reason I lost it in my first defense and return and being the happy go lucky guy didn’t give me title opportunities that I wanted and I didn’t feel like joining the groups that were already there Bullet club and Suzuki Gun have been there for a while and this gave me a chance to join a new Group.”
As they continued to talk Jeff would explain how Ospreay reached out to him and how things were set in motion and Eric then followed up with a question about his opinion on Will and him being a leader before speaking on his dominance in the G1.
“I felt this G1 was a big middle finger to all the nay sayers and a huge I told you so sign. I just needed the opportunity and New Japan wasn’t offering it so. You look at the G1 and you see the United empire dominated we didn’t win but we put everyone on notice and everyone was afraid of us after that. Now I can’t speak on the A Block side since I was on the B block but being the guy who broke Tanahashi record as well as his back in a match was great. So I can’t complain to much about that and of course I wasn’t happy with the outcome due to losing but I feel New Japan favors Okada and they would’ve hated if I was in the finals the United empire does things our own way and of course he’s there Golden Goose but let it be Okada or Shingo they both have targets on their backs now.”
Continuing on with some conversation the topic WWE Came up and Jeff talked about the Contract that he was offered.
“I did get contract offers from other places but at the end of the day, it was — you know like — I mean WWE offered me a contract,” Jeff Cobb revealed. “Great money but, at the end of the day, you know, it’s — money is gonna make a lot of your problems go away but at the end of the day, money won’t make you happy so I wanted to work somewhere where I felt like I fit in more and I would’ve been happy.”
