We’ve got to feel for AEW match maker, Tony Khan. A few weeks back, Tony Khan got caught with a notebook with the card for AEWs next pay-per-view Full Gear scribbled over it. I for one do not blame Tony Khan. We have all had to sit through a depressing game simply because we have that one friend who supports an embarrassing team. In an unrelated note if anyone is in search for a 76ers Ben Simmons jersey please contact me below. Now imagine your mate, or in this case your father, owns the team! Tom Brady is heading into New England and you are stuck watching Jacksonville take on the Cincinnati Bengals. You cannot blame Tony Khan for scribbling notes out of pure boredom, have you watched the Jacksonville Jaguars this year? He Is just biding his time until the game is finished and he can enjoy a few shots of vodka with his boy coach Myer. The cats out of the bag with the card for Full Gear. It looks good, but could use some help so we at the Wrestling Republic decided to create a list of the top ten matches we want at Full Gear- notebook be damned.
1. Hangman Page vs. Kenny Omega – AEW World Championship.

This match alone is worth the price of admission for Full Gear. Tony Khan may have made some weird choices in his scrap book but this is clearly not one of them. I am not sure if this feud was organic or manufactured from the start, but this is the best example of long term story telling with have in the world of Professional Wrestling. The asshole heel and the sympathetic face. This could be AEW’s version of Stone Cold vs HBK. Omega was voted the best wrestler in the world. His title reign has a lot to do with that. The versatility Omega has displayed has been awesome. From a crazy blood filled barbed wire match with Jon Moxley to a 30-minute mat classic with Bryan Danielson. The man has range. Hell the last pay-per-view main event with Christian Cage was so much better than it had any right in being. Hangman on the other hand has played the lost soul rather well. The hero down on his luck without a friend in the world. It sounds poetic because it fucking is. It’s a story that has been in the making for the past three years. The pop when Hangman showed up to claim a shot at the AEW World Title in the Casino Ladder Match was striking not because it was unpredictable but because it was loud despite that. We only wanted Hangman winning that night. We all want Hangman fighting Omega. This is Marvel setting up the Avengers and come the 13th of November we are in AEW’s endgame. Omega and Hangman have been on a collision course from the start of All Elite Wrestling. Full Gear could be this one match and I would still be all in.
2. Sammy Guevara vs. Chris Jericho – AEW TNT Championship.

I know we are most likely getting Inner Circle vs. American Top Team but if I am being honest the best part of that feud has come and gone. This is a feud that can give us great promos and fun fan interaction but the actual match will be a fairly standard affair. Now a match I could get behind is two members of the inner circle fighting for the TNT Title. No hatred. No animosity. Just a Protégé trying to prove to his mentor that he is good enough. Chris Jericho’s career is sadly drawing to a close and before it closes he might just want to add another title to his illustrious career. The TNT title has been used as a proving ground for new faces to the company. At Full Gear Tony Khan could implement it for that actual use once again. Sammy Guevara needs more meaningful victories. Jericho is coming off a masterful win against MJF and has beaten just about everyone worth mentioning. If you are a hall of famer and under the age of 65 you have probably lost to Chris Jericho. This match does not just help make Guevara a made man in the company, it also helps elevates the actual TNT Title.
