With Dragon Lee now officially called up to SmackDown, this has opened up a whole host of new match possibilities for him. The former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion has really impressed so far in his WWE run. With bangers against Dominik Mysterio, Nathan Frazer, and JD McDonagh already under his belt, he’s proved himself to be a reliable in-ring asset and someone who is definitely one to watch. So let’s jump into these potential dream matches!
5. Montez Ford
With him being one of the most athletic men in the WWE, it only makes sense!
The rate at which these two would work would be astounding. With both of these men being freakishly athletic, I would love to see them repeatedly attempt to best each other throughout the match. Just think: Montez could pull out that crazy ring post dive while Lee does that crazy dive over the barricade. It would be a truly spectacular athletic showcase. This would be a really fun one-off programme for the WWE to do, as it really shows how amazing WWE’s future is looking because these two are 28 and 33, respectively.
4. Butch
While I initially had Butch below Montez on this list, after I saw Butch against Axiom recently on NXT, I had to move him up a spot. Butch has proven time and time again that he can put on fantastic matches, regardless of the style he’s working against. Imagine if Butch could have a great match against someone like Axiom (who’s great don’t get me wrong), then imagine how great a match against Dragon Lee would be.
