AEW CEO Tony Khan has recently appeared on YouTube’s Strong Style show, where he discussed about current ROH Women’s Champion Deonna Purrazzo, who is still under contract with Impact Wrestling and faces a situation that finds both promotions hosting their next PPV events on next Friday.
Khan revealed that he is very interested in having Purrazzo on AEW or ROH, and that he is in constant talks with Impact Wrestling’s Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore.
“When Deonna won the Ring of Honor title, when they booked that match, I did not have an agreement in place to buy Ring of Honor yet and was not booking the matches”, .. “With them having a show the night of our pay-per-view, I don’t know how it’s going to work out. Scott [D’Amore] and I are still talking about that because I completely respect their position that they have an event that night too.” (H/T F4WOnline.com)
Khan would also state that even if he wants Purrazzo to be in ROH Supercard Of Honor, he still respects Deonna’s current duties at Impact.
“I don’t want to put her in a tough position where she has to wrestle twice in a span of a few hours but that could happen. Scott and I are still talking.” (H/T F4WOnline.com)
ROH Supercard Of Honor and Impact’s Multiverse Of Matches will be live worldwide on April 1 from the Curtis Culwell Center (Garland, Texas) and the Fairmount Hotel (Dallas, Texas), respectively.
