From his entrance alongside the Mogul Embassy, in particular Prince Nana you can tell he’s destined to become one of the faces of AEW,” said Wrestling Republic’s Opinion Writer Matthew McKay. He also concluded by stating he believes “it is only a matter of time till he has gold across his waist once again.”
Wrestling Republic News and Opinion Writer Tomas Gramajo explained that “2023 marked the best year of Swerve’s career so far, with amazing performances, great rivalries and iconic moments (like the ones from his Texas Deathmatch with Hangman Page) that demonstrated everyone that he is ready to be the top star and fight for the World Title in 2024.”
In addition, Wrestling Republic’s Head of Opinions Anthony Ricciardi added that “Swerve is the one guy that WWE will truly regret letting go of because he is one of the most compelling talents in AEW.”
